Historia
Look beyond the abstract dates and figures, kings and queens, and battles and wars that make up so many historical accounts. Over the course of 48 richly detailed lectures, Professor Garland covers the breadth and depth of human history from the perspective of the so-called ordinary people, from its earliest beginnings through the Middle Ages.

Pompous.
Revisado: 07-09-21
I only got part way through before Garland's pompous, stilted language became too much to bear. And it's not just the British accent. Also, my expectations for insights into the lives of common people were disappointed. Little time is devoted to documenting their lives. It's more a narrative of the day-to-day lives of the priveleged.

Condescending.
Revisado: 10-17-20
Some good ideas, some too simplistic. Examples often seemed strained. Condescending tone makes most of it hard to listen to.
