I really want to like John Eldridge. I think he’s a godly man and I think he reaches a lot of people. He just seems to use other peoples stuff and re-wrap it in his own language. Mindfulness is a very common skill these days if you put Jesus in the middle of your mindfulness you’ll be practicing what’s in this book. If you love, John Eldredge get the book. If you already know mindfulness and you already know Jesus, then you don’t need the book.

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Frankie Budge—aspiring writer, indifferent student, offbeat loner—is determined to make it through yet another summer in Coalfield, Tennessee, when she meets Zeke, a talented artist who has just moved into his grandmother’s house and who is as awkward as Frankie is. Romantic and creative sparks begin to fly, and when the two jointly make an unsigned poster, shot through with an enigmatic phrase, it becomes unforgettable to anyone who sees it. The edge is a shantytown filled with gold seekers. We are fugitives, and the law is skinny with hunger for us.

Total meh
Revisado: 05-01-23
I thought because of the ratings that this would be an interesting read. As it turns out, I spent the entire book waiting for something cool to happen. Something interesting. Something compelling. That never happened. I guess it was a reasonable distraction for a few hours. I just couldn’t get into it.

When Lister got drunk, he really got drunk! After celebrating his birthday with a Monopoly-board pub crawl around London, he came to in a burger bar on one of Saturns moons, wearing a lady's pink crimplene hat and a pair of yellow fishing waders, with no money and a passport in the name of "Emily Berkenstein". Joining the Space Corps seemed a good idea.

Un original and disingenuous
Revisado: 10-14-20
This is a unsophisticated copy of a CJ Box Joe Pickett story. Glad I don’t have to go through the trouble of requesting a refund. Keep trying though; never give up!
