More Action Packed

A vast improvement over the previous 2 books. This one was packed with action in the second half.
Like the others it started slow, but the quantum physics technobabble was far more subdued in this one.
Like many other reviewers, my main complaint is the love story. It was cringey, fast, and shallow.
Also, as other reviews have stated, he tends to drop stories and characters for seemingly no reason. What happened to Mimi and her alien/angel friend from the last book? Or what about the Philippino dude for the first half of the book?
Either way, a much better effort. I'm looking forward to the last book.

The curse word replacements were mind numbing. totally unneeded and distracting.
Also the book couldn't seem to figure out who to focus on half the time. that being said, the last act was awesome. I hope they stick to more of that for the last bookm

This entire book is so quotable. C.S Lewis always seems to have one foot in heaven and writes like he was a moment from stepping through the door.
Please give this one a listen. If you were fond of his writing in the Chrinicles of Narnia but are looking for an intro to his work for an adult audience, this is where you start.

Amazing Battles

JR sure knows how to write an amazing battle sequence. If I have only one complaint, it's that he gets the dialogue of teens and kids wrong. The characters under the age of 20 are a bit wooden and unbelievable, but it doesn't really distract from the story, which is why it gets a 5 of 5.
