This is relevant in today’s world. Sean Dillion at his best. What starts out as a good government program ends up being corrupted by greedy people.

Well written book that moves the reader along. Gives excellent insight into the time period. I was surprised by the number of women, blacks and immigrants that were involved in this military campaign.

Historia
Six months after Pearl Harbor, the seemingly invincible Imperial Japanese Navy prepared a decisive blow against the United States. After sweeping through Asia and the South Pacific, Japan's military targeted the tiny atoll of Midway, an ideal launching pad for the invasion of Hawaii and beyond. The United States Navy would be waiting for them. Thanks to cutting-edge code-breaking technology, tactical daring, and a huge stroke of luck, the Americans under Admiral Chester W. Nimitz dealt the Japanese navy its first major defeat of the war.

Fact Based Book
Revisado: 05-02-17
I have read a great deal on The Battle of Midway and found many new facts in this book. This book reads some place between a text book and action novel. The author presents both side from the point of view of the participants. Very good read.

Historia
Here is the kind of authentically detailed epic novel that has become Louis L’Amour’s hallmark. It is the compelling story of US Air Force major Joe Mack, a man born out of time. When his experimental aircraft is forced down in Russia and he escapes a Soviet prison camp, he must call upon the ancient skills of his Indian forebears to survive the vast Siberian wilderness.

Historia
Navajo Nation Police Officer Bernadette Manualito witnesses the cold-blooded shooting of someone very close to her. With the victim fighting for his life, the entire squad and the local FBI office are hell-bent on catching the gunman. Bernie, too, wants in on the investigation, despite regulations forbidding eyewitness involvement. But that doesn't mean she's going to sit idly by, especially when her husband, Sergeant Jim Chee, is in charge of finding the shooter. Bernie and Chee discover that a cold case involving his former boss and partner, retired Inspector Joe Leaphorn, may hold the key.

As good as her Father
Revisado: 03-28-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Spider Woman's Daughter to be better than the print version?
I like the Audio version because I travel in the car and it is much easier to listen.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like a good mystery and learning about other cultures. Anne Hillerman does an excellent job of giving insight the Navajo Culture through the eyes of Bernadette Manualito, much the way her father did in Chee and Leaphorn. I have traveled through that part of the country and it makes listening to the books more realistic.
Any additional comments?
I can't wait for her next books to come out.
