Nice story and concept
Revisado: 04-30-18
I did like this series very much. The NPC focus was fun and showing them disliking the real world players is quite interesting. There was also a good 'fear for their lives' element as the npc's could not expect to respawn like a pc can. Maddie may be an npc, but she is written like a real character and you completely believe that she is. Overall a very good book.
Voice acting was good for the core characters. I did feel like the reader defaulted to an accent that is difficult to pinpoint for the lesser characters, sort of a Scotish crossed with gangster. Not horrible but a little off. As to the writing of the book, A+

Different and interesting concept
Revisado: 04-30-18
Another great from Harmon Cooper. This one starts out with two friends that had just 'ReRolled' their characters. So they just went from upper tier players to Level 1, and they chose difficult classes. It is a nice touch and reminds me of mmo's where I rolled another new character to get something different. The next interesting part, and probably the one that makes this series is unique is how much the fantasy world and the real world mix. I won't give any spoilers, but it was an interesting concept. Wait till the end, wonderful twist that makes total sense when you think about it, but I was totally off guard for it. Overall an excellent story, well worth giving it a try.
Jeff Hays did another flawless performance. His range of characters is truly unique and awesome.

A great end to the Unigaea series
Revisado: 03-26-18
Once again I really loved a book by Harmon Cooper. I was not sure how he was going to pull it together from the end of book 2, but in the end it turned out great. This last book in the Unigaea series has a fair bit of humility to it, in that it not only told a story but also the characters and thus the listener really felt a connection to the events and challenges that were occurring. I felt the characters often had a dilemma, and Harmon really made the reader (or listener) feel the pain of their decisions. Lothar stepped up a bit in this book, kind of coming out of his shell and becoming a viable part of the team.
As is always the case from Jeff Hays, the voice acting is superb. Paired with Annie Ellicott made this series incredible. I really hope Annie keeps working with Jeff as the two together make the listening experience so much better.

Revisado: 03-21-18
I did not know how you could write a book about an npc and have it be as engaging as other LIT rpg books. Well Dawn has shown me how. Very good story and I was really pleased with this Audiobook. I immediately picked up books 2 and 3.
Narration was very good as well.

Historia
The reason that Oric Rune became a Player Killer continues to loom at the back of his mind as he makes his way north with Sam Raid and Wolf. All is well until an ambush throws a wrench in their plans, forcing Oric to come to grips with his digital existence, and the fragile lives of those closest to him. With the Red Plague spreading, and the denizens of Unigaea becoming increasingly hostile, Oric must decide if he should go after those who have ambushed and betrayed him, or ride north to the Rune Lands and address the Red Plague head on.

You guys just keep getting better
Revisado: 01-25-18
It seems like each of Harmon's books gets better than the last. I never felt there were any dull or filler pieces in the book. The ending was great though it has me wishing the next book were out so I could dive right in.
Jeff Hays was his usual exceptional self. Annie Ellicott provided an exceptional voice for the female characters. She had a much bigger part in this book and I hope she continues in more works with Jeff.

An excellent world and series.
Revisado: 09-28-17
** I own the individual book 1 of the feedback loop prior to this trilogy being released. Below is my review for that book, and so far book 2 is turning out to be just as great as the first. If Audible lets me edit this review later I'll add to it after completing each of the others.**
Harmon Cooper has done an incredible job creating what possibly is the best world system in lit-rpg. The setup of the worlds allows him to make future books in any type of world, fantasy, Steampunk, etc and still feel logical or ‘lore friendly’.
His first in the series takes on a sort of film noir blended with an mmorpg. At first I wasn’t sure I’d like that combination but in the end he came up with a winner. The main character is not very likable, however whether it is Harmon Cooper’s writing or Jeff Hays’ reading, I found myself really liking him. Then again maybe it is sympathy for someone who’s been stuck in this loop for so long.
All the characters were written and voiced very well. They even made the easily ignorable taxi driver feel like he was a larger part of the story rather than a quick NPC interaction. The story is great and entertaining.
Overall a great audio book and I am enjoying the next in the series.
