This story is my introduction to author Synthia William. I enjoyed everything about novel. For me, the story is classic black romance with all the entertainment that comes from living in a small town where everyone minds everyone’s business. This edition also contains a bonus story. Looking forward to the next installment Waiting On Friday Night.

Not just the Summer.. Life

Thoroughly enjoyed the narrators bringing one of my favorite books by Aubree Pynn to life. This story tugs at all the emotions. Lucci and Butterfly (Lotus) do not disappoint. 💙 Outstanding job Midnite Michael, and Lauryn Nichols!!

I Feel Some Kind of Way

Capone has me feeling some kind of way. The book opens with a bang, but quickly fizzled for me. I think the foundation of the story is good. However, it doesn’t grab my attention again until the end. This is my first read of 2025 so I had high hopes. The female narrator does not embody the character of Erin. I eventually stopped the audio and just read the book. Winston James is always fire.

Breathe of Lyfe

This is my first book by the author. This was such an intricate story. Not only did Ocean and Lyfe have me in a chokehold, I learned some new things. This story invokes so many emotions. It is extremely well written and narrated. I will definitely check out some more of the authors work.

Ms Huffington I think this is some of your best work! This story captured my attention from the very beginning and kept me in a chokehold. The narrators were outstanding and embodied each character. Princeton was an added bonus! Outstanding job!

Love Belvin is one of my favorite. I’ve read this series multiple times. I enjoyed hearing the story being brought to life. The narrators, Myles Washing and Wesleigh Siobhan embodied the characters. The series invokes all the feels, and frustrations. A couple of times I too wanted to choke Rayna and Azmir. It’s complicated, but oh so worth it!!

And Just Like That

And just like that, I am stuck again in LBU land. Love Belvin is one of my favorite authors. I have to admit was skeptical about Low Love, Love Fidelity. Mainly because of my personal views regarding fidelity. Leave it up to Love to pen a story that made me expand my opinion and thoughts regarding marriage and fidelity. I read this book about a year ago. However, Alyx Monroe and Midnight Michael did an outstanding job bringing this story to life. I felt every one of Lennox’s emotions as she navigated the potholes of her marriage and consequences beyond her control. She needs a safe place, Do yourself a favor, immerse yourself in the story of #LennoxandTobias. You will not be disappointed.

Nothing short of amazing

Rifts and Refrains is not just a story, a lovely slow burn, it is an education. Jake and Mari’s story provide lessons in forgiveness, redemption, perseverance, love, and acceptance. Mari teaches us to leap and follow your dreams in spite of other’s opinions and obstacles. Country music is one of my favorite genres of music. I am excited about the strides African Americans are making in the genre. Thank you Tiye for spotlighting our contributions and accomplishments. We are Country. It is in our roots and heritage. Benjamin Charles and Iikane also did an phenomenal job bringing this story to life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Southern Gem

This story was an amazing journey. The complexity of relationships, strength, forgiveness, self-esteem, loss, and love. Thank you Rhonda McKnight for sharing your gift, and using your pen to empower and encourage women. I wish I could rate more than five stars. The narrators were awesome and embodied this journey!
