Love that the characters aren’t black and white like in most stories.

This story is riveting. Hard to take a break. There were a few times I could predict what was going to happen but not to the point that it was annoying.

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Interesting mystery
Revisado: 03-18-24
Don’t want to give spoilers, but I didn’t like how readily some characters accepted other ones that seemed to be shady.

Couldn’t hardly put it down. I hope there’s a sequel! I would definitely read more from this author and the performance was amazing too.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Wonderful as always
Revisado: 06-29-18
This book did not disappoint, even though I didn’t realize it was part of the Bill Hodges set until half way through. The only reason I didn’t give the performance a 5 was his rendition of Holly’s voice. No one talks like that and it was hard to listen to. I don’t know why he did it that way lol.

Great story!
Revisado: 01-23-18
This was a riveting story! It's spooky but not actually scary, which was what I had been expecting. It's nice that way though because more people will be open to it. In fact my 12 year old son heard bits and pieces of it in the car so now he wants to hear the whole thing and I feel like I can let him.

Historia
In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep: They become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place.... The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease.

Good story
Revisado: 08-26-16
I couldn't stop listening. Normally I save my audio books for when I'm driving but I kept listening whenever I could. I only didn't give it 5 stars because it's not my favorite Bentley Little book and I'm not very familiar with computer programming and all that. Plus I thought it was funny that he had the little boy be 6 but in 2nd grade. I don't know why everyone was complaining about this book. It's a classic Bentley Little. If you're not into his writing then you aren't going to like it. You either do or you don't.

Ok book
Revisado: 05-29-16
The premise and story of this book are interesting. I hated the main character so much I could barely stand the story because of her ridiculous thoughts and actions. Also, the reader kind of bothered me too.
