A standout sequel!
Revisado: 04-29-25
As a fan of Greek mythology and LitRPGs, I found this to be a great read! The narrator's tone was perfect, and the twists related to Arche's past and the promises of what comes next left me wanting me more. I can't wait for book 3!

My New Favorite Dark Fantasy
Revisado: 04-26-25
Every step of this journey has been spectacular, from the beginning of The Witch all the way through to the end of The Deathless King. I was riveted the entire way, and I find myself sad that it's over, but I also appreciate that it told a full story and didn't overstay its welcome.
If I had to list a negative, some of the chapter titles didn't match the narrator's audio, and there was one spot near the end that sounded like a verbal typo, but I've already forgotten what it was because the performance was overall very well done!

A tense dark fantasy that keeps you coming back for more.
Revisado: 12-14-24
I picked this up on a recommendation from a friend despite not being a fan of the genre, and I'm so glad I did. The beginning was a bit of a slow burn, but after a few chapters I was hooked, and this was all I listened to until it was over.
The Witch takes place in a fantasy world with a touch of Brothers Grimm-esque dark forests and evil creatures. Every encounter kept me guessing, even with the characters you'd assume are the heroes. The ending wrapped things up neatly to begin the next book, which I will be picking up on release day, whenever that is. Can't recommend this enough!

The Incursion Event has been announced, and sapient races from across the multiverse are invading the newly integrated planet Earth. These beings have decades, centuries or even millennia of experience living within The System and wield powers far beyond the mutated Beasts and mana-spawned Monsters Drew and his friends have faced in the past.

A great followup to a great book!
Revisado: 12-04-24
This book carries off exactly when the first book ends and hits the ground running. I love the various references and little nods to popular culture while still retaining its own identity. The narrator also did a great job, especially with the undead commander. I found myself cackling at some points, and on the verge of tears at others. The climax had me feeling intense anxiety as it kept me guessing all the way to the end. All in all, a 10/10 book and performance. Can't wait for book 3!
