Historia
The story begins in May 1536: Anne Boleyn is dead, decapitated in the space of a heartbeat by a hired French executioner. As her remains are bundled into oblivion, Cromwell breakfasts with the victors. The blacksmith’s son from Putney emerges from the spring’s bloodbath to continue his climb to power and wealth, while his formidable master, Henry VIII, settles to short-lived happiness with his third queen, Jane Seymour.

Amazing
Revisado: 04-20-24
This trilogy is a huge undertaking to listen to but well worth the time. Hilary Mantel has written this character so well and so sympathetic that is hard not to love Thomas Cromwell. Add in Ben Miles' captivating performance and I am not sure what will fill the void I now face having finished the series. I am sad to have missed Ben Miles on the stage at Thomas Cromwell.
I wish Thomas Cromwell had known that 500 years after his death, people would read about his life and cry over his death.

Amazing book and narrator
Revisado: 02-06-24
Kate Atkinson is such an amazing author. Humorous, beautiful story. The narrator was a perfect fit, and I could listen to her all day.

Historia
In the face of a pandemic, an unprepared world scrambles to escape the mysterious disease causing sensory damage, nerve loss, and, in most cases, death. Neffy, a disgraced and desperately indebted 27-year-old marine biologist, registers for an experimental vaccine trial in London—perhaps humanity’s last hope for a cure. Though isolated from the chaos outside, she and the other volunteers—Rachel, Leon, Yahiko, and Piper—cannot hide from the mistakes that led them there.

Very enjoyable
Revisado: 01-07-24
Her writing is beautiful, and I thought the performance was phenomenal as usual. The plot felt like it had some weak points, but overall very enjoyable
