Historia
Waiter to the Rich and Shameless is not just a peek into the secretive inner workings of a legendary five-star restaurant; it is not just a celebrity tell-all or a scathing corporate analysis. It is a top-tier waiter's personal coming-of-age story, an intimate look into the complicated challenges of serving in the country's most elite, Hollywood-centric dining room while fighting to maintain a sense of self and purpose.

"I'm very very important"
Revisado: 07-25-17
easy to listen too, great narration. I found some of the story's hard to believe ( I mean did Katie Holmes really say:" that's not how you treat a child Tom"?) also the writer doesn't come over very sympathetic, and seem pretty full of himself( "I am really very good at my job" and "everyone always looks at MY girlfriend) of course at the end he gets an epiphany, and knows what life is all about....sorry, I didn't feel it.

Exhausting
Revisado: 05-04-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
People who are not irritated by lots of repetition.
What could William Landay have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Skip the names during the court hearings....
Would you be willing to try another one of Eric Meyers’s performances?
probably not, boring and slow performance.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The idea of: how far would you go to protect your children is interesting, but it was pretty obvious from the beginning how far he would go.
Any additional comments?
I think this is a book you hate or love, would probably recommend the printed version. I thought it was too slow, there were no peaks or suspense. I didn't even like the characters.

Historia
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Entertaining and fun
Revisado: 05-04-15
Where does The Kind Worth Killing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its probably in my top 5, I was afraid it would be similar with Gone Girl which I didn't like at all, but this book surprised me.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Of course the leading lady, grazy, scary and completely insane.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I read a lot negative reviews about the narration, I return books if I don't like the narrator even though it is the most brilliant book. But with this performance....no issues at all at least, it didn't distract me from the story line.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Don't cheat...ever!
Any additional comments?
What I liked about the book is that it all came together towards the end. The story itself wasn't particularly very original but the way of writing and the different characters and their point of view made it very entertaining.
I didn't like the ending....very standard and maybe a bit cliché? overall good enough to enjoy!

The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Real suspense from beginning to end
Revisado: 04-20-15
If you could sum up The Girl on the Train in three words, what would they be?
Next page please
What other book might you compare The Girl on the Train to and why?
definitely the book" before I go to sleep" by SJ Watson. Not because of the subject but because I thought it was a similar suspense what I think is rare an unique in books. Another book comes to mind which I read years ago: The secret history by Donna Tartt.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Of course the main character, you have to love her, what is real what is not, she could almost make me go visit her and ask her myself.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I am easily bored, I listened to it whenever I could!

Dark and haunting
Revisado: 04-20-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
well spent, this futuristic subject is scary but intriguing. And like in the book the question if the students have souls is the first thing what comes to mind. I understand that the characters were born to fulfill a certain destiny, it just seemed a bit unnatural to me that there was no resistance at all.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I think the book from beginning to end had a certain vibe, that the ending wasn't a surprise to me. I was hoping for a bit more resistance or depth from the characters at the end.
Would you be willing to try another one of Rosalyn Landor’s performances?
Probably not, I had the feeling that she could burst into tears every single moment. There was emotion in her voice, but to me, she could have balanced it a bit more, there was not something awful happening every single sentence. Sometimes it came over almost hysterical.

A great sleeping aid
Revisado: 04-20-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes, I have difficulty falling asleep, and this book helped me. It was my first ever Nicholas Sparks book and although the story is appealing, and the characters are real and consistent in there actions, to me it was a story and performance what left me without any feeling besides that I could sleep after 15 minutes.
Would you recommend Dear John to your friends? Why or why not?
I understand why people would like this book, its easy, with a very universal subject: love. If I have a friend who is looking for a summer read without thinking too much I would definitely recommend it.
Did Holter Graham do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes, I liked his performance
Could you see Dear John being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I read the book first, then I fast forwarded the movie. I think the actors were the perfect match: enjoyable but forgettable.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Great start, messy ending
Revisado: 04-20-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
probably not. I really loved the first half of the book, it was different, and I was curious where the story was going, but it got a bit crazy and messy at the end.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The first half of the book was interesting because it could be very real: the weird landlord, the stiff neighbor, the good looking single girl....I thought there was real suspense in the first half of the book, I couldn't stop listening because I wanted to know why everything seemed so off. It wasn't very predictable and there were some twists but after the mystery is resolved it takes too long to wrap up and its getting weirder, messier and it seems unorganized.
What three words best describe Ray Porter’s performance?
loved his voice, made the characters real.
Do you think 14 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
too much happened already in the first book. No follow up!

Historia
The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

average but entertaining
Revisado: 01-29-13
Would you try another book from Vince Flynn and/or George Guidall?
would not be my first choice the next time
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
That of course, it was a setup, it got predictable.... I fast forwarded till the end.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The performance was good, nice voice.
Could you see The Last Man being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
no
