Historia
Fell times have come to the galaxy. Cadia has fallen, destroyed by the onslaught of Chaos. A Great Rift in the warp has opened, and from its depths spew daemons and the horrors of Old Night. But all hope is not lost… A hero, long absent, has returned, and with him comes the wrath of the Ultramarines reborn. Roboute Guilliman has arisen to lead the Imperium out of darkness on a crusade the likes of which has not been seen since the fabled days of the Emperor. But never before have the forces of Ruin amassed in such numbers, and nowhere is safe from despoliation.

a look into the mind of a primarch
Revisado: 01-30-23
my only complaint is there were a couple of extra stories that took place during the main one and it was a little easy to get lost.
that aside, the main story was excellent, and even the side stories do contribute to the overall tale being told.
getting to hear about Robute's life, while reflecting on the past and forging a new future, was an interesting story. definitely recommend for 40k fans

definitely worthwhile
Revisado: 11-14-22
I've gone through numerous Ravenloft novels. this is definitely within the top 5 Ravenloft books, probably number 4 or 5. the story has good pacing, well writing and created characters, and an excellent finish. the narrator does a very good job reading and voice acting for the book.

Historia
Some of the parchment pages were the color of cream, thick and substantial, made to last many, many lifetimes. Other pages were thin and desiccated, positively yellow from age, and crackled alarmingly as Van Richten turned them over. There were no ornate illuminations, no fussy borders, only lines of plain text in hard black ink. The flowing handwriting was a bit difficult to follow at first; the writer's style of calligraphy had not been in common use for three hundred years.

i love Ravenloft as a setting. I have since I first heard of it and began reading. these "I, Strahd" books are absolutely excellent, and the narrator does a phenomenal job reading and voice acting. I don't know if I will ever get enough of this particular book myself.
