Historia
Ren Monroe has spent four years proving she’s one of the best wizards in her generation. But top marks at Balmerick University will mean nothing if she fails to get recruited into one of the major houses. Enter Theo Brood. After a failed and disastrous party trick, fate has the two of them crossing paths at the public waxway portal the day before holiday. A fight breaks out. In the chaos, the portal spell malfunctions. All six students are snatched from the safety of the school’s campus and set down in the middle of nowhere. And one of them is dead on arrival.

Unpredictable overall with a little vengeance
Revisado: 11-07-24
I liked that the overall plot was unpredictable some of the small thing within were pretty predictable but the broad picture is decently unpredictable. Also a little vengeance from the little guy which is nice. Overall a good read.

Historia
Deborah Harkness first introduced the world to Diana Bishop, an Oxford scholar and witch, and vampire geneticist Matthew de Clermont in A Discovery of Witches. Drawn to each other despite long-standing taboos, these two otherworldly beings found themselves at the center of a battle for a lost, enchanted manuscript known as Ashmole 782. Since then, they have fallen in love, traveled to Elizabethan England, dissolved the Covenant between the three species, and awoken the dark powers within Diana’s family line.

The end leave you excited for the next book
Revisado: 08-04-24
I felt like this book was very slow until about 2/3 of the way through and then the last third of the book is when everything happened. I felt like the author could’ve done better. Even with these thoughts, it was a good story and clearly setting up for there to be more books

Historia
Who is THE NOWHERE MAN? He is spoken about only in whispers. He comes to those in greatest need of his protection. There is no enemy he cannot fight. He lives by his own code. He takes no prisoners. His name is Evan Smoak. Taken from a group home when he was young, Evan was raised and trained as an Orphan, an off-the-books black box program designed to create the perfect deniable intelligence asset: An assassin.

Lots of graphic fight scenes
Revisado: 03-20-21
For some this could be a positive but there are a ton of very long fight scenes that are pretty graphic. Now disclaimer I don’t really enjoy gore, so maybe some people might say this is awesome. For me I skipped through some scenes because they just got long winded and/or just couldn’t listen to the blood and guts part anymore. Overall though the book is very good, lots of suspense and mystery and emotions.
