Historia
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

Part autobiography, part road map for finding true love and the life you’ve always wanted, Why Waiting Works offers practical advice to avoid the common pitfalls made by many when it comes to sex and dating. It is a "how to" for doing relationships in a different way, deconstructing the myths and misconceptions associated with the often misunderstood but vital to understand subject. It uncovers the timeless principle of delayed gratification to get what we want most instead of just what we want right now - in every area of our lives.

So much better than I expected
Revisado: 07-24-22
A lot of what was in this book was expected and was really excellent but there was a whole other level of what Rob accomplished and anyone can accomplish by transmuting their sexual energy into some thing better.

Historia
Pi Patel has been raised in a zoo in India. When his father decides to move the family to Canada and sell the animals to American zoos, everyone boards a Japanese cargo ship. The ship sinks, and 16-year-old Pi finds himself alone on a lifeboat with a hyena, an orangutan, a zebra with a broken leg, and a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Soon it's just Pi, the tiger, and the vast Pacific Ocean - for 227 days. Pi's fear, knowledge, and cunning keep him alive until they reach the coast of Mexico, where the tiger disappears into the jungle.

Educational and entertaining
Revisado: 01-03-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Life of Pi to be better than the print version?
I listened to this with my kids who are 8, 10 and 12. I soon realized it wasn't written for children but they were interested in the story so we listened to the entire book together. There were some gruesome parts but they were things that are part of life so I was ok with the kids listening in. Many interesting facts about animals and zoo's were part of the story which of course the kids enjoyed. At times the story was somewhat slow for kids to stay interested but I really enjoyed all of it. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I listened without the kids and wasn't concerned about their enjoyment.
All-in-all this is a very detailed story of the life at sea of Pi along with a tiger and some other animals. It leaves you wondering if it all could have really happened. It is written very realistically and factual.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked learning stuff about animals and the trials of surviving at sea.
Which character – as performed by Jeff Woodman – was your favorite?
Pi
If you could take any character from Life of Pi out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Pi
