Historia
Kelly Carlisle was three weeks old when her mother was strangled in downtown Los Angeles, leaving Kelly in the care of her grandfather, an eccentric Englishman who owned a porn store and lived on a boat in the harbor. It is here that Kelly finds a home among friendly alcoholics and the city's forgotten residents. But she can't help but wonder if she is destined to become a part of the dysfunction that surrounds her.

Beautifully written true story of how even imperfect love and circumstances can create an incredible success story

A memoir far better than fiction.
Revisado: 12-02-17
If you could sum up We Are All Shipwrecks in three words, what would they be?
wrenching
honest
heartening
What other book might you compare We Are All Shipwrecks to and why?
Her life story could have been composed by Kurt Vonnegut.
What does Andrea Gallo bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She is honest and engaging, and closely resembles the author's voice. I heard Mrs. Carlisle at a reading and knew I wanted to listen to this story.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A perfectly unperfect life and the journey to happiness.
Any additional comments?
I am still in awe of Kelly Carlisle's raw honesty, pervading hope, and tenacity.

Not nearly as interesting as Seasons 1 or 2
Revisado: 06-02-17
What disappointed you about X Minus One, Season Three?
The boiler plate plots were thin at best. The acting troupe were cashing checks. The ads being left in was an unpleasant surprise, too.
Would you ever listen to anything by Ray Bradbury again?
Absolutely. This may have one marginalized story adapted from Ray Bradbury.
Have you listened to any of full cast’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. Seasons 1 and 2. Season 1 was quite good. Season 2 less so. And with Season 3 you know why it was cancelled.
What character would you cut from X Minus One, Season Three?
There are several stories that should have been left off the air.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Really good book. Really great narration.
Revisado: 06-02-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Captivating story with well fleshed out characters. Ray Porter is the narrator, what's not to love.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Tim. His mystery was shallow at best, but the writing allowed the facade to be believed.
Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?
Zeela. He humanized the struggling artist who is brighter than she cares to show.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, a couple, but I don't want to spoil those moments for anyone else.

Historia
Bob Johansson didn't believe in an afterlife, so waking up after being killed in a car accident was a shock. To add to the surprise, he is now a sentient computer and the controlling intelligence for a Von Neumann probe. Bob and his copies have been spreading out from Earth for 40 years now, looking for habitable planets. But that's the only part of the plan that's still in one piece.

The first book was really good. This one is even better. The narration is an unbelievable performance. This is the best Audible book I've enjoyed. Really wish the next book was ready now!
