Historia
It is the week before Halloween and Theodosia Browning, proprietor of the Indigo Tea Shop, and her tea sommelier, Drayton, are ghosting through the dusk of a cool Charleston evening on their way to the old Bouchard Mansion. An author's body is suddenly tossed from a third-floor tower room and left to dangle at the end of a rope. Police come screaming in and tea maven Theodosia's boyfriend, Detective Pete Riley, is sent to the victim's apartment to investigate. But minutes later, he is shot and wounded by a shadowy intruder.

What a disappointment!
Revisado: 04-18-21
I Love Laura Childs books and have Never read anything that wasn’t 5 stars. Until this book. I’m not sure what happened here but after the first chapter it went downhill. I was totally disappointed. After the third chapter I had lost interest. I called it quits after chapter five. I just couldn’t read it anymore. I hope others find more out of it than I did. I look forward to Laura’s next book to catch back up into her beautiful writing world.

Story OK, At Times Difficult to Follow
Revisado: 10-22-20
While the story was generally good, it got mired down at times and therefore very difficult to follow. By the time I got to the end I was so ready for it to be over, I really wasn’t paying it a lot of attention. I just wanted it to be finished! I know that’s sad but as good as it was in the beginning, it was just that bad in the end.

Died after chapter 4
Revisado: 10-12-20
I can’t say a lot about this except the book died after chapter four. I’ve never had happen before. It wasn’t even far enough in to give it enough for a real review. If I can get a decent copy, I’ll give a real review.

Historia
Librarian Janet Johnson is puzzled when she is invited - and practically dragged - to her first meeting of the Rejected Writers' Book Club. This quirky group of women would much rather celebrate one another's rejected manuscripts over cups of tea and slices of lemon cake than actually publish a book. But good friends are exactly what Janet needs after moving to the small town of Southlea Bay, Washington.

Funny, touching story
Revisado: 09-09-20
While altogether this was a good, touching and funny story; it got a bit bogged down about 2/3rd of the way down. It picked back up at the end and had a solid finish. I would recommend it to others to read as it is an overall lovely story.

Overall Great Book
Revisado: 08-23-20
While this book went slow at places, it was an overall great book. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and it will not be my last. She kept my interest throughout the book and through most of the book I was wanting it to go faster.
I enjoyed her characters and could definitely feel close to them. I found myself yelling at the characters and for the characters. For me that is my benchmark of a truly exceptional book.

Another James Patterson series to watch out for
Revisado: 08-01-20
I watch out for James Patterson’s books and a new series is always an especially wonderful treat! This one was a 7 hour read. It kept my interest all the way through as a great mystery does and should but it didn’t have my claws in the ceiling with total suspense. I’ve already had one stroke, I don’t want another.
If you are looking for a great new mystery/suspense read, you this is it! Enjoy it!

Love Murder Club Mysteries!
Revisado: 05-04-20
I have read each of the Murder Club Mysteries and loved them all and this is no exception. If I had to have something to say I wish would change, I’d say that each one is so similar to the last! I could almost write the ending from the start.
The reason I keep going back is to read the middle. I love reading how and why everything gets from point A to B to C. I can figure out point D but the other points are so much fun!

Steel at her best!
Revisado: 04-21-19
I’ve been a big fan of Danielle Steel since her early books. There were a few books in the middle that lacked her ‘Special’ touch. Whatever was going on during that period in her life, I don’t know but I’m thrilled to say, ‘She’s Back!’ The thrill that I got in reading her early books is back. I started this book and I literally fell asleep reading it because I couldn’t find a place that was good for me to stop for the night. When I woke up the next morning, I was So mad at myself for falling asleep! I went back to the beginning of the chapter that I remember reading and didn’t stop until I finished it!
It brought me so much joy to have her writing back again. I’m all ready for the next read! Thanks is all I can say!
