Historia
Meet Detective Zaniel Havelock, a man with the special ability to communicate directly with angels. A former trained Angel speaker, he devoted his life to serving both the celestial beings and his fellow humans with his gift, but a terrible betrayal compelled him to leave that life behind. Now he’s a cop who is still working on the side of angels. But where there are angels, there are also demons.

Not Bad

Some reviewers say that they couldn’t tell where the story is going. I actually like a little bit of that. I like to be surprised. It has a similar feel to the author’s Anita Blake series. I love that series, so to me it’s a good thing. I think this new series is just getting started and I’m very interested in hearing the subsequent books.
The reader is unpopular with a lot of listeners, but I like him. The hesitant sounding performance seems to me to fit the hesitancy of the lead character.
This book is not great as a stand-alone book. It’s more like a transition into a new series. It feels like it just barely got started. But I like it anyway.
