Historia
After a startling betrayal ends with both Sera and the dangerously seductive ruler of the Shadowlands she has fallen madly in love with being held captive by the false King of the Gods, there is only one thing that can free Nyktos and prevent the forces of the Shadowlands from invading Dalos and igniting a War of Primals. Convincing Kolis won’t be easy, though–not even with a lifetime of training.

Wanted More action and less “action”
Revisado: 11-28-23
This book started off great as it picked up same as it left off. Unfortunately it quickly went down hill from there. The scenes were long and boring and still left me feeling unsatisfied at the end. For the first time in this series I found myself skipping chapters. The love making portions were also a bit too much as it was more about flesh than fire. I felt like it was relentless and I was simply over it.

Disappointing and not worth it
Revisado: 08-23-23
I would of rather Jennifer waited another year and give us a an actual book rather than succumbing to fan pressure and releasing foolishness. This is just a summary of all the prior books and nothing new. This was just a waste of Time and shows laziness of the author. I will be requesting a refund of my credit for this garbage.

Unnecessarily long
Revisado: 12-07-22
This book dragged so bad i tuned out for most of it. The crazy part about it is, when I did tune back in the book was literally at the same parts I tuned out at. I found Sara to be off putting and combative at times that didn’t need it. I wanted more from her and wanted to see her evolve. Unfortunately this will be a 1 star from me. Hopefully if there is a second book, it’ll be better than this.

Historia
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome - especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom - so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do - and sacrifice - for her.

Narrator was horrid
Revisado: 05-21-21
I had to fight through the 1st one but the story was so good I kept reading amd I downloaded the 2nd book. Mainly because I thought this may be a little bit better with the narration but it turns out to be the same grating voice. No difference between the characters, same monotone crap. Alex the main character, I found her to be immature, whiney, bratty and just too much at times. She made it very hard to like her. I would really like to continue this series just to see what happens but I just cannot do it with the narrator ......sorry.

From #1 New York Times-best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a novel of a woman who needs nothing, a man who sees everything, and the web of deceit, greed, and danger that brings them together - and that could tear them apart… As a professional house-sitter and freelance writer, nothing ties Lila Emerson down - not her work, not a home, and definitely not a relationship. She spends her life moving from one job to the next, sometimes crashing at a friend's Manhattan apartment.

snooze fest
Revisado: 02-04-21
I actually felt bad for the narrator having the job of reading this relentless boring tale. I was so excited to read this book and then I wished I didn't. My OCD won't let me quit, but gosh I never wished for a book to end more than I did this one. 24+ hours to tell the same repetitive hungry whiney tale. I half wished the characters froze to death.

felt like this last book didn't need 20+ hours to get to the end. felt like a lot filling and time killing in this book. The story was great as all of SA's books, but this one just dragged on. Dare I say, boring at times.

wickedly horrible
Revisado: 04-02-20
it seems the story of the Faye was a backdrop to nauseating romance. The main character behave every bit of a 15 year old rather than one almost 23. dont even get me started on Ren and his over active rapey libido. I wanted more of the magical world, instead I got to hear the word panties a lot. I'm such an fan of her Lux series and the new one with the gargoyles, but this is a no for me. will be returning asap.

Z took too long to gain a backbone
Revisado: 12-18-19
I needed the Shero in Z to come out so bad. I wanted her the be the fierce young warrior we saw in the first book. Instead, her character spent half the book feeling sorry for herself and whined every chance she got. The storyline overall was amazing and action packed. Narrator Bonnie continues to do an excellent job. I really got a sense that it was truly separate characters telling their own version of the tale. When Z finally found her legs, she was amazing, just wished I didnt have to read 6 hours to get to it.

Historia
Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

save your credit
Revisado: 08-15-19
The overall concept was interesting, but with the narrator making everyone sound the same it was hard to follow at times. The female characters were pathetic and showed no empowerment. The melody character in particular makes you wanna punch her in the face. Her constant neediness made for an irritating listen. it was long and boring at times. will probably return.
