Historia
The most dangerous man to cross is one who isn't afraid to die. But the most deadly is one who doesn't want to live. And Spenser has just lost the woman who made life his number-one priority. So when a religious sect kidnaps a pretty young dancer, no death threat can make Spenser cut and run. Now a hit man's bullet is wearing Spenser's name. But Boston's big boys don't know Spenser's ready and willing to meet death more than halfway.

Ever Robert B. and it's all good
Revisado: 12-04-17
Without a doubt one of his best. without a doubt, three of my favorite characters. Susan's the third. We get a lot more insight into Hawk. Good read!

Historia
With a sensibility that recalls her beloved screen characters, including Yvette, Queenie, Shug, and the iconic Cookie from Empire, yet is all Taraji, the screen actress writes of her families - the one she was born into and the one she created. She shares stories of her father, a Vietnam vet who was bowed but never broken by life's challenges, and of her mother, who survived violence both in the home and on DC's volatile streets. Here, too, she opens up about her experiences as a single mother.

Enjoyable and a pleasant surprise
Revisado: 09-07-17
Taraji did a great job and imparted some good wisdom. Still don't know what the P stands for though. I might have missed that but she kept it real as a Black woman, single parent and serious entertainer.

Historia
His name is etched on the door of his Manhattan office: LEONID McGILL , PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. It's a name that takes a little explaining, but he's used to it. Ex-boxer, hard drinker, in a business that trades mostly in cash and favors: McGill's an old-school P.I. working a city that's gotten fancy all around him. Fancy or not, he has always managed to get by - keep a roof over the head of his wife and kids, and still manage a little fun on the side - mostly because he's never been above taking a shady job for a quick buck.

Little disappointed
Revisado: 02-24-15
What disappointed you about Hope to Die?
This is probably the last of this series although as a previous review stated it is more of a franchise now than entertainment and so the disappointed reader is probably required to just get over it. After all we have already made the purchase. the money is already spent. I miss the early efforts of a white man who wrote a black man so well. I even understand that ultimately now writers want a book that will become a movie or successful to Audible. I just miss good reading, surprising and unpredictable. I miss when Mr. Patterson wrote for himself and not the formula. Oh well. At least future writers will know how they can make money from their craft and through his name.
Would you ever listen to anything by James Patterson again?
Nope. I think I'm done.
