Historia
The blizzard begins pummeling the Midwest on Christmas Eve, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Todd Curry doesn't need another reason to disappoint his son, so he joins three other people in renting the last four-wheel drive available and they set out into the blinding snow. Only two hours into the treacherous trip west, Todd swerves to avoid a man in the middle of the highway. The stranger claims his daughter is lost somewhere out in the snow.

starts off strong, but the premise is pretty meh overall. narration is good and the first few chapters were great suspense, but once it gets into what's actually going on it really falls off. not sure if it is the pacing or the content, but it gets noticeably worse.

Historia
After the sickness known as the Doom destroyed civilization, magick has become commonplace, and Fallon Swift has spent her young years learning its ways. Fallon cannot live in peace until she frees those who have been preyed upon by the government or the fanatical Purity Warriors, endlessly hunted or locked up in laboratories, brutalized for years on end. She is determined to save even those who have been complicit with this evil out of fear or weakness - if, indeed, they can be saved.

doesn't live up to 1&2
Revisado: 09-26-23
it's not that it is bad, per se, but it feels almost like the author was tired and ready to move on to the next book on their list. no new character development, a lot of halfhearted skips through different points in the plot, and really no actual consequences of war.
also, good God not everything magical needs to rhyme. "So MoTe It Be"

an interesting story arc with some severe flaws
Revisado: 08-16-23
it's enjoyable, but the main character never experiences any actual challenges. 19 year old MC who somehow had enough training growing up to be prepared for every challenge in every location (including memorizing the streets of a foreign city that he never visited, but was nevertheless trained to memorize 🙄)
going a bit farther, there's some very misogynistic overtones that are weaved throughout the story. not vile enough to tune out, but it's really annoying to continuously listen to how the women are so weak in their resolve and constitution and within seconds of meeting the MC are drooling over him. in fact, the only moments of strength youll see from the women in the story will be the times that they are fighting over the MC.
Overall a 3/5. great narrator, interesting take on the stranger with a mysterious background trope, but the deep-seeded incel-isms prevent it from being anything I'd ever recommend.

Historia
The Ouroboros Project was my last chance at salvation, but the new, virtual reality was just as bad as the world I’d left. Backroom deals with corrupt nobles, slavery, and murder were all swept under the rug in the pursuit of gold. Despite everything, I found mercenary life fulfilling, until my guild was attacked. Now, I've got unknown, extremely rich enemies on all sides, a mysterious woman with strange magic and compound eyes, and a guild to save.

excellent narration of trash "erotica"
Revisado: 07-09-22
remember when you were in high school and there's was one kid who always insisted "no guys ive totally had sex before. my girlfriend who lives in canada so you can never meet her always does it with me!"? that, but mixed with a horrendous D&D campaign. excellent narration, even more so considering the narrator didnt literally throw up describing "lol big bewbs" over and over.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Historia
The colonists from the Pathfinder have arrived on Kaguya, a planet with low gravity but a very dense atmosphere. It’s fun to jump around, but the air makes you loopy - and worse than that, the heavy atmosphere means that wind storms, although rare, are absolutely devastating. Zero and Nyx help to get everything locked down before the first big storm, but they stumble onto a group of thieves who have stolen some mining equipment. Before the kids have a chance to get away and tell anyone, the storm hits and the massive winds carry them far away.

well performed. I was expecting less of a childrens book though. it feels like a 7th grader's creative writing assignment, and thats before you factor in writing the word "poop" like 30 times consecutively. bad character development, bad world building, and a linear plot to the point where you can stop listening for an hour at a time and miss nothing except probably more poop talk.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.
