What did you love best about From a High Tower?
From a High Tower isn't an obvious love story. I very much liked the independent, though somewhat unsure, protagonist. Also the old time wild west traveling show was a great addition.
What other book might you compare From a High Tower to and why?
hard to say, it's Rapunzel meets an old west dime novel
Have you listened to any of Jennifer Van Dyck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Storm Born: Dark Swan, but I much preferred this story. Jennifer Van Dyck is a wonderful voice actress either way
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
the end scene of Giselle chasing Rosa around in mock anger

Romeo and Juliet meets Valdemar
Revisado: 08-30-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I put off reading this since I wasn't too impressed with all the flashbacks in the collegium chronicles / Mags' stories, but Lackey really aced it with this book. a slightly more realistic Romeo and Juliet meets Valdemar.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Closer to Home?
The prince tossing Amily onto Roland's back
Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I really enjoy Nick Podehl's work. he's very talented.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Romeo and Juliet meets Valdemar

anticlimactic and dull
Revisado: 06-24-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
the narrator was rather lackluster. she didn't breathe life into the story, but that wasn't totally her fault. the story itself didn't have any anticipatory tension to the plot.
Would you ever listen to anything by Rose Pressey again?
not likely
Would you be willing to try another one of Elizabeth Klett’s performances?
not likely
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Me and My Ghoulfriends?
Abraham Lincoln contributed nothing to the story so I would cut his character.

So when the tarot cards predict her imminent demise, she uses a little magic to make her world right. Suddenly, an aunt she's never met dies, leaving Mara as her sole heir. But when Mara moves into her inherited home, she discovers Aunt Tillie never moved out. She's still one pissed-off old lady, even postmortem.

lewd, crude, and descriptively grotesque
Revisado: 02-04-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
personally no, but if you're into gross horror, with a sexual side, then this is the book for you. it's like a poor dead animal on the side of the road, you can't help but look. I was tempted within the first ten or so minutes to turn it off, but I just kept listening thinking it had to redeem itself. it didn't.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I've since listened to many fantasy books. I quite enjoy the ghost hunters series by Victoria Laurie, and almost all of Mercedes Lackey's works.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes
Do you think Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She's Dead needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It was finished in a way that sequels are likely, but I'm not interested in them.

wonderful book, but not 3rd in the series
Revisado: 07-17-14
What made the experience of listening to Silent Night the most enjoyable?
the narrator is wonderful, just how I imagined the character to sound.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I've read these books on my kindle and have loved every one of them. each plot is well thought out and described.
this book is actually the fifth in the series though, they're missing "Gun Shy", and "Bone Yard"
Have you listened to any of Donna Postel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I listened to the first two of this series that were released and can't wait for more to come.

nice and funny
Revisado: 01-30-14
What did you love best about What's a Ghoul to Do??
Good story, a little predictable in spots but a good solid story. Also rather funny, the ghost hunting is interspersed with comments from a parrot, bungled words from Dr. De-lish, and jibes from her friend Gilley. All in all a good fairly light hearted book.
What did you like best about this story?
the comedy
What about Eileen Stevens’s performance did you like?
her voice isn't too monotonous
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
there's a new medium in town, and she's not talking about her clothing size.
