Never get tired of clive.
Revisado: 07-10-20
I have read everything Clive has written and loved them all. Sure, some better than others, but all excellent. Sometimes only a cussler novel will do and I'm glad I have kept them all in my library so I can go back and re-read one when I need a cussler fix. Having the older Pitt novels read by Scott Brick is better than Christmas as a child. I have always wondered though, Clive Cussler has appeared in practically every Pitt novel since Dragon, yet Pitt never recognizes him when he sees him. You'd think by now they'd be old drinking buddyes. Sad that Clive is gone. Hope some of these series continue.

Historia
Dirk Pitt doesn't go looking for adventure: it finds him easily enough. His chance witnessing of an airship disaster - which nearly kills him - and subsequent discovery of the gruesome fate of the crew sets in motion the most nail-biting chain of events of his career. The hijacking on a golf course of one of the world's most powerful leaders; an exotic but outrageous undercover operation in the Caribbean; the sinister intrigue of a secret power base on the moon...Pitt's considerable resources and guile are about to be tested to the limit.

Excellent.
Revisado: 07-02-20
Finally, Scott Brick narrating the old Derk Pitt books. I have them all narrated by various readers over the years. Now most of them are available narrated by the best. Now all we need is the mediteranion caper, Ice Burg, Vixon 03, Raise the Titanic and Night Probe. I sure hope they do them all. I've been really enjoying re-reading these old titles. Such a shame there will be no more.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

What a let down
Revisado: 09-15-19
After such a long wait, what a disappointment. The outsider was fantastic which was nice after the flop of Sleeping Beauties. This was boring. I struggled to finish it.

Historia
Leading a tour down the rapids outside Aspen, Colorado, whitewater guide Dani Haller comes upon the dead body of a close friend. Trey Watkins' death is ruled an accident. Finding evidence that seems to back up her suspicions that it wasn't, she takes her case to Wade Dunn, the local police chief and her ex-stepfather, with whom she shares some unresolved history. Wade insists the case is closed, but Rooster, a hot air balloon operator in town, claims he saw something from the air she should know.

Great book, a couple of inconsistancies
Revisado: 09-20-18
Storey was great and kept me on the edge of my seat. Editors missed something. In the previous 3 Ty Hauck books, he had left the car in gear, and it ran over his daughter, Nora. In this book, he backed out of his driveway in anger and ran over his Daughter Rachel. I know I'm picky, but I notice these things
