The guest makes an interesting point about ignorance, yet illlustrates said ignorance in his description of group membership among white people. This entire episode is void of any peeceived credibility.

They could have left out the bits about a big man crying out for his momma, and the guest himself as the rare Black voice who stereotypically grew up around the trappings of narcotics abuse and the criminal justice system. They ruin the credibility of the entire episode. The media needs better exposure to Black voices beyond well-worn tropes.

The microwave Hot Pockets generation will not appreciate the seemingly unstructured tangential rambling. Those with greater tolerance for ambiguity, however, will appreciate the subtle nuance, worldliness and elegance in the author's word selection.

This is an old work spoken in a received British accent at a slow, steady pace. Within is advice about how to enjoy a day of purpose and contentment, albeit by 19th century standards. Ironically, the author seems to believe that self-reflection seperates average minds from extraordinary minds, and that indulging in too much reading (or what today would be any sort of passive entertainment such as TV or social media) deprives most people of their needed self-reflection.

They could have gone with a different narrator but the textual content in itself is quite useful.

Atheism, as a concept in and of itself, has been beaten beyond all recognition. Many who self-identify as "atheists" in a manner of naive defiance have felt forced to change the definition of the word -- aloofly pairing it with the concept to agnosticism, as if performing some sort of a forcible marriage by shotgun. These, as well as many of the other follies of contemporary supposed "atheists," are explored and thoroughly demonstrated to be just as much based in untested faith as the Christianity that they presume to repudiate.

This book provides a tepid yet cogent perspective on the Barack Obama administration, and much more interesting takes on the entertainment industry -- in anticipation of the personality-fueled presidential campaign that made Trump's renown ubiquitous.

We tend to enjoy deeper connections with some of those with whom we interact. Often those connections stem from interactions that are markedly different from superficial chat about work, the weather and weddings. This book gets you thinking about the good, bad and ugly parts of how those interactions have us coming back for more -- in a very honest way.

The narrative performance is also quite good in its own right. It keeps the listener engaged.

It's easy for an ideas-minded person to get distracted listening to the vocal presentation. Overall, the information per se is useful for anyone starting out in a new group endeavor.

The speaker makes a compelling case for improving one's speaking skills.

He instructs the audience in some rather dated techniques from the 90s that speakers now don't use. In addition, the jump cut edits interrupt the flow of ideas. However the overall message is powerful. The speaker is skilled at interspersing levity and vulnerability in his advice about building professional relationships -- very much a focal topic in today's sales industry.
