38 books and still going strong
Revisado: 06-18-24
Jeffery Kafer gives us an immersive and amazing experience in the universe.
Nathan Scott and the free fleet arc have breathed a breathe of fresh air into the series. This book in particular brings new faces, friends and characters in the spotlight making for an curious cliffhanger, that I might be more mad about about the next book wasn’t coming out two weeks after this one!

Historia
Minalan the Spellmonger has come a long way since he woke up to a goblin invasion almost a decade ago. Since then, he has built cities and mighty armies, invented new enchantments, and pioneered entirely new fields of magic. Now that the Witch Queen of Darkfaller has taken over one of the most powerful castles in the center of the kingdom, he has to marshal all his resources—political, military, and arcane—to try to drive her from the strategic and symbolically important stronghold.

A great addition to an amazing world.
Revisado: 11-23-23
This series has grown into my favorite series since the the original battle at Olum Seherri (don’t know proper spelling) and the world building has grown tremendously since then. Amazing and consistently new intriguing characters are introduced even this late in the series and even though the event in this book start to wrap up some questions, there still is so much more for us to learn and see in the world.

Historia
After winning two wars against the Nemovorti, Minalan plans an expedition to The Lost Valley of Anghysbel, in the far north of his realm. It's there, in the caldera of a supervolcano at the edge of the tundra, he suspects many of the answers he so desperately needs might be hidden. The only problem is that thanks to the anti-magical properties of the jevolar, his spells won’t work; he’ll be without magic for the first time since he came into his Talent.

The greatest world building series
Revisado: 04-06-23
(Light Spoilers) This book (and the one after, as it is the perspective of the Kingdom at the same time) is the culmination of 12 books that already built such a distinct world, but in this book with its spectacular implementation of science fiction into a beautiful fantasy we see a rare world with a thoroughly thought out and complex world, characters and races who all have their own implied secrets that we as the listeners start to really understand, but there is still so much we don't know and so much to expand on. I read that there are still perhaps 15 more books planned in this series and I foresee a future of a beautiful Horizon in the sky, and a Minolan so powerful as to be able to challenge the Vundel. Terry. Thank you for this beautiful world, I will cherish it. John Lee, thank you for making it so entertaining.
