Historia
It is 1988. After three years of teaching English as a second language classes in Latin America, Amy Bovaird is offered a position in Indonesia, halfway across the world. On this archipelago, Bovaird has the opportunity to learn about new cultures. But there is a problem. In the break between jobs, Bovaird pays a visit to her local eye doctor for what she believes will be a routine upgrade of her glasses’ prescription. A lengthy examination with a retinal specialist follows.

Inspiring
Revisado: 10-26-20
Amy Bovaird book Hitting A Homerun is inspiring for not just those struggling with sight loss, but for anyone who has a challenge. The narrator brought the story to life. I love how Amy uses the simile of baseball to describe her sight loss. It shows how despite struggling with her eye sight or hitting foul balls that she still can succeed or hit a home run. Amy is courageous, determined and inspiring. I applaud ger for her wonderful ability to put us in her shoes and to encourage us to never give up. Great job!! Wonderful narrator.
