I’m a big fan of this whole series but I thought this one lacked a lot of the action in the others. Definitely entertaining because I’ve grown to love all the characters

Interesting quick listen
Revisado: 01-21-21
I enjoyed listening to Sims story, hearing his real life experience was captivating and inspirational. I often find myself in situations where a client asks me to perform some ridiculous task and somehow or another it’s gets done and the end result is incredible growth. Steve if you see this I’m a glassblower and I’d love to send you a pint glass I’m sure I’d pass your “chug” test.

Historia
Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Good listen with a group of people
Revisado: 01-20-21
A little random and unsupported in some parts but if your looking to entertain a group in a car this will do the trick.
Reminded me of M.Gladwell “outliers” in certain parts

Historia
Twelve years after Tim Moore toiled around the route of the Tour de France, he senses his achievement being undermined by the truth about "Horrid Lance". His rash response is to take on a fearsome challenge from an age of untarnished heroes: the notorious 1914 Giro d'Italia. History's most appalling bike race was an ordeal of 400-kilometer stages filled with cataclysmic storms, roads strewn with nails, and even the loss of an eye by one competitor - and it was all on a diet of raw eggs and red wine.

F*cking Love!!!
Revisado: 01-18-21
Wow, I truly enjoyed listening to this everyday. Moore’s sarcastic witty writing style is the perfect vehicle to retell the story of the 1914 Giro.
I caught myself laughing out loud at the experiences he encountered and gasped in awe when I learned how long and difficult this race actually was.
Another really cool part about this book was that, I felt like Moore was able to create a map in my mind with his visual story telling. Bringing me with him to every Italian village!

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

First M.G book
Revisado: 01-05-21
I enjoyed listening to this book. Drawing on themes that the “self made man” is a collection of generational opportunities is a very interesting concept. Especially when he draws the correlation to his personal family experience.

It comes as no surprise that, as a kid, Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings slept with a bulky Hammond world atlas by his pillow every night. Maphead recounts his lifelong love affair with geography and explores why maps have always been so fascinating to him and to fellow enthusiasts everywhere.

Not a Maphead, loved it!
Revisado: 12-18-20
I’m not a huge geo buff or Maphead by any means, but after finishing Planet Funny I really wanted to check out another K.Jennings book. I was actively entertained by Jennings witty sarcastic writing pros and learned so much about geo history in the process. Looking forward to diving blindly into anything this guy writes!
