Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Almost thought the narrator was Shrek
Revisado: 07-03-18
It's probably just a personal bias but the slight scottish accent sounded like Shrek at times.
I'm still going to listen to the rest of the books.

I would give 50 stars
Revisado: 06-08-18
I fell in love with Children of Blood and Bone since I read the free sample of the first few chapters.
This audiobook is better than I could have hoped. I love the emotion and dynamic that the narrator gives the story, as well as the story itself. I nearly cried during the last few chapters, and the author's note at the end was chilling.
Overall I feel like the characters were very well developed and challenged throughout the story.
Kudos to Tomi Adeyemi for bringing us this masterpiece ♡

I loved this series, no doubt. Although for the next book I would personally prefer if the voices for characters like Daenerys and Melisandre were more like how he read them out in the first two books. Everything else is perfect.

Surprisingly great

I wasn't expecting it to be from Evie's brother's point of view and I kept waiting for the narrator to change at first but then it just become part of the charm.

I liked it.

Quite good, if you like futuristic post apocalyptic stuff.
I could definitely sense something allegorical going on but it's also good if you're not the literary analysis type.
I'm pretty sure there were some religious overtones.
One of the main characters is LGBT+ but the plot doesn't revolve around it at all, he's just casually gay.
Some of the characters sound like surfer dudes but that's their accents based on where they're from.
I don't know what it is but something felt off about the writing style. It doesn't affect the story, it just feels like some vague second hand awkwardness.
All of this said, I'd been looking to read this book since a couple of years ago and I was not disappointed at all. It lived up to it's hype and kept me hooked. I couldn't stop listening until it was over. If I had to put it any other way, it feels like Angels and Demons (Dan Brown) and Elysium (Movie) had a baby and this is it.
