Historia
A delightfully funny, fantastically inventive collection of twenty unearthed short stories by Sir Terry Pratchett, the award-winning and bestselling author and creator of the phenomenally successful Discworld fantasy series. These rediscovered tales were written by Terry Pratchett under a pseudonym for British newspapers during the 1970s and 1980s. The stories have never been attributed to him until now, and might never have been found—were it not for the efforts of a few dedicated fans.

LOVED IT!!
Revisado: 10-26-23
From the beginning with Gaiman’s soothing voice until the very last syllable, every bit a wonder and delight. Pratchett’s imagination and wordplay were stunningly clever, clearly even as a young man. <3

DISAPPOINTING!
Revisado: 09-07-23
PROS: Most of the cast did a 5-star performance, Season 1 was excellent in plot and execution
CONS: Season 2 became trite, trope and utterly boring. I expected something different, especially after season 1's fantastic start, but ended up sorely disappeared. Extremely glad I didn't have to pay for it.

Revisado: 08-25-23
Definitely struggling to finish the first book in the series with hopes the action and relationships pick up. The voice actress inexplicably changed accents on one of the side characters mid book. Overall, not a promising start making me wish I could take back my credit usage.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Lucy....UGH
Revisado: 02-02-23
I hate to give this less than 5 stars, but the voice of Lucy has driven me insane. I don't know why it was decided to make her voice so breathless and doll-like monotone, but it was a bad decision in my opinion. It grated my nerves raw. I prayed for her quick death. The rest of the performances were great!

Warning! Episode could cause PTSD FLASHBACKS!!
Revisado: 08-19-22
This isn't a true crime episode in that there is no mystery. We know the POS who did this horrific thing. Unfortunately, what happened to Katie happens every day all over the country with the same results - good ol'boy officers allowing the rich to slide on paying for their crimes. I hate it for Katie and her family. I understand why the girls wanted to use their platform to help, but warn an old lady next time. It took me years to cope with this same situation decades ago. This wasn't what I was expecting from y'all.

William Desmond Taylor was a big name in Hollywood back in the day, starring and directing plenty of hit films. Hollywood has always been rife with controversy and such was the case when William was found dead in his apartment, having been shot with a rare .38 caliber gun. The police felt like whoever had killed William had actually been wrapped up in a hug with him when they pulled the trigger. Was it Mabel Normand who had been at his home just minutes before he was killed, or could it have been Mary Miles Minter and her crazy Stage Mom ™ Charlotte Shelby? OR could it have been the woman ...

I order another bourbon, neat. This is the drink that will flip the switch. I don’t even know how I got here, to this place, to this point. Something is happening to me lately. I’m drinking too much. My sheets are soaking wet when I wake up from nightmares of decaying corpses. I order another drink and swig it, trying to forget about the latest case I can’t shake. Crime solving for me is more complex than the challenge of the hunt, or the process of piecing together a scientific puzzle. The thought of good people suffering drives me to the point of obsession.

Do more research!
Revisado: 04-26-22
I've been listening to your podcast for several months now and overall enjoy it. However, this episode is an exception and not because of the story itself. Matter of fact, the story is intriguing and would be infinitely more engaging if deeper research into the Social Register and upper class New York had been done. Maybe that would have eliminated your own naive ideas about how things should have been or how you "feel" reactions were as opposed to how they actually were. For Pete's sake, you could at least watch The Gilded Age on HBO MAX for a quick reference. While we "regular folk" have a hard time identifying with or even imagining their standards and eccentricities, there are plenty of materials out there that tell us how it was. Adding your modern feelings to the situation only serves to take the listener out of the story and time period abruptly. It's very disconcerting.
