Historia
Hell Hole is the fourth book in the mystery series featuring hardened former military PD and current Sea Haven, New Jersey, police officer John Ceepak and his partner, wise-cracking Danny Boyle.
In Hell Hole, Ceepak is confronted with his most personal case yet when he must investigate the alleged suicide of a military corporal who recently returned from Iraq. It turns out that this "locked stall" rest-stop suicide is anything but an open-and-shut case.

Another Terrific Ceepak Mystery
Revisado: 07-30-08
I've read all of the Ceepak Mysteries and was not disappointed by Hell Hole. The anticipation and mystery unfolds at a nice pace and I really enjoyed the ending. Based on the ending, I'm looking forward to the next book. Of course, I always enjoy Jeff Woodman's narration too.

Wonderful Listen
Revisado: 02-27-06
I enjoyed La Cucina so much that I listened to it in one day. The characters are colorful and the narrator is fabulous. I recommend this book highly. I hope that Lily Prior will have her other books put on audio. Until then I'm off to the library so I can read them.

Historia
On paper, Bette Robinson's life is good. At 26, she's got a great deal on an apartment in Manhattan, and she's on target to become an associate at the prestigious investment bank where she works with her best friend. Her 80-hour workweeks might keep her from socializing or dating outside her office walls, but she's paying her dues on the well-trod path to wealth and happiness. So when Bette quits her job like the impulsive girl she's never been, she has no idea what to do next.

Good Story.. . . Horrible Narrator
Revisado: 12-23-05
I liked the story line and the characters in this book, but the narrator has a horse voice and seems barely able to finish a sentence because she sounds out of breath. I found it very annoying. I absolutely loved The Devil Wears Prada though, and have listened to it many times. I don't think I would be able to listen to the narrator of this book again.

Historia
In the late 1800s, the residents of a small village in coastal Italy migrated to the promised land of America. They eventually settled in Roseto, Pennsylvania, where they re-created every detail of their former lives, including the centerpiece of Roseto’s colorful old-world tradition: the annual pageant for Our Lady of Mount Caramel—or “the Big Time,” as it’s called by the young women competing to be its Queen.

What a lovely book
Revisado: 07-28-04
I enjoyed this book very much. The main character, Nella, gives the story of her life starting at the age of 14. Her feelings and relationships are well developed. The narrator has a very smooth voice and add an Italian accent when it is called for. She reads the book much the way I would have. This is definitely a book I plan to listen to again, from time to time.
