Is it just me or is this the one of the most poorly put together books on running a business. Although there were a few good points, the language is completely offensive and the most powerful point I received is that Ben is about as egotistical as people come. It seems that Ben was using a few good lessons to try and soften his story about his journey as a CEO. This is definitely one book where a summary would be better than the book itself. Ben paints a picture that CEOs are building these companies on their own. As a Midwesterner, maybe I just don't get what it takes to lead in Silicon Valley. I couldn't help but think of Ben as Gavin Belson, CEO of Hooli in the HBO sitcom Silicon Valley. I agree with other reviews that the good information he shares is available in many other great books. What Ben clearly knows how to do is make money and make lemonade out of lemons. I got no sense that he cared at all about long term sustainability. When you have to make a tough call, maybe Ben is the guy but I'd stick with content from Good to Great and other business classics which this is not.
