Completely predictable
Revisado: 09-30-16
I liked the characters in the book but there is no conflict. Everything is so predictable, I could have written the ending before I had read 1/3 of the book.

Had to them a ghost in there sometime
Revisado: 05-02-15
The narration was good until she had to speak a mans part and instead of just reading it she tried to make her voice deep which sounded terrible. The story was good until the end when it seemed to say oops I'm supposed to put a ghost in here and it ended. Started out pretty good but failed in the end

YA
Revisado: 04-08-15
Usual formula for YA story line society makes the future for the teenager without their input. Different people hating each other just because they are different. Only twist is one is a dragon the other group is human. They should say upfront that it is a YA title, but I should have known by the description.

Historia
First-year detective Kathleen Doyle is a plucky Irish redhead of humble origins and modest means. Chief Inspector Michael Acton is her antithesis: a British lord turned cop. He's tall, handsome, and enigmatic - to a fault. He also has a knack for solving London's most high-profile crimes. Acton selects Doyle out of the newbie squad to partner with him on a series of investigations because she always knows when someone is lying - a trait that comes in handy when interviewing suspects and witnesses.

No love or mystery
Revisado: 11-08-13
What would have made Murder in Thrall better?
A relationship developed between the two main characters. I never believed the love was real it was never developed and I didn't believe it. The development also of her ability to tell if someone was lying. It was just stated and nothing developed about it. It could have been an interesting supernatural twist but I'll never know because I won't listen to another. The murders were also not interesting and I didn't care what happened until then end when someone was trailing her and I thought finally some action!
Has Murder in Thrall turned you off from other books in this genre?
No I will just read a different author
What three words best describe Marcella Riordan’s voice?
Authentic to the setting
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment
Any additional comments?
Not sure what others saw in the book but there is always something for everyone

Historia
Homeland Security Secretary Catherine Blaine receives a frightening communication from a hacker identified only by the pseudonym Janus. The message is the latest in a series correctly predicting natural disasters around the world - disasters that, Janus claims, were manufactured, not natural at all. And, according to the email, unless the United States does as Janus instructs, another disaster is coming - a Category 5 hurricane that will hit the Eastern Seaboard and destroy the lives of tens of millions of people.

Listen to this in you want a PHD in Meteorology
Revisado: 04-20-13
Would you try another book from James Lilliefors and/or Rebecca Gibel?
I don't think I would try another book because the characters were not developed or believable as leaders of the country. The science was way to heavy in the story.
What was most disappointing about James Lilliefors’s story?
Weather! It was described as a thriller and it was nothing but a weather report and a description of how weather developed during the entire book. It was more boring than a local weather report.
What three words best describe Rebecca Gibel’s voice?
adequate
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
waste of money
Any additional comments?
First audio book I will not finish - I am so cheap when I spend my money on a book I always see it to then end but I don't care about the characters or the weather, and I won't sit through any more science lectures on weather.
