Historia
It is the spring of 1895, and more than a decade of combating eldritch entities has cost Dr. John Watson his beloved wife Mary, and has nearly broken the health of Sherlock Holmes. Yet the companions do not hesitate when they are called to the infamous Bedlam lunatic asylum, where they find an inmate speaking in R’lyehian, the language of the Old Ones. Moreover, the man is horribly scarred and has no memory of who he is. The detectives discover that he was once a scientist, a student of Miskatonic University, and one of two survivors of a doomed voyage down the Miskatonic River.

Fighting monsters? Ridiculous. Couldn't listen to it, wasted money, time and all else. Shocked at how bad it was.

How much the collaboration is responsible, this is nowhere near the prime Reacher stories. So bad that, after 27 Reacher book, this will be my last one.

Reverently written Tarzan book
Revisado: 12-01-22
Nobody wrote or writes like Edgar Rice Burroughs, so this new Tarzan story cannot be measured by that standard. As a life long fan I enjoyed this very much, and was very entertained and satisfied as to it's devotion to the original characters and locations. As a caveat I must say it's gonna be a confusing read if you are not pretty familiar with the previous original characters already.
It seems to be designed for those who are, and I'd suggest first reading "Tarzan at the Earth's Core for those unfamiliar with this . That might be a good idea for fans as well. The author's have produced a well-written, colorful, intricate and complex, and extremely entertaining Tarzan book. By calling it that I am bestowing a compliment and high praise and a hearty recommendation.

A treat for Burroughs fans
Revisado: 11-17-22
As a lifelong fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs I enjoyed this and was entertained by it. That was largely because I am so familiar with the original Pellucidar novels. It would be a confusing read for someone who did not have a deep familiarity with the characters and places that Edgar Rice Burroughs created, as well as the many new characters introduced. Some of the dialogue from the beast men and cavemen was too sophisticated or eloquent and was incongruous. Sadly Tarzan was not really even the main character, but the narrator did a fabulous job and cannot be praised enough. The story is highly recommended to my fellow ERB fans.

Masterfully and reverently written
Revisado: 02-19-22
ERB has been my favorite author for almost sixty years and am somewhat of an amateur bibliophile of his writings. I was very impressed and greatly entertained, and finally emotionally satisfied with Geary Gravel's new John Carter novel, a response echoed by other reviewers. I am critical of most of the Burroughs pastiches and much "new stuff" does little for me, but not this story! This one literally brought these great characters (and some new ones) to vibrant life. Superbly structured and intelligently plotted, this is by far my favorite in this new series. This exceptional narrative has such an excellent narration that brought everything to colour. Nothing of anything written could possibly be true, but just like with Mr. Burroughs it became so real that the "real" world is vanished . That's the key to ERB that Geary gets better than most everyone.

Nanak
Revisado: 12-30-19
The Jap Ji contains everything necessary for merging into the Formless Divine. It has the entire descriptive cosmology, the means and method, and the Ecstasy of Union itself. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of people claiming, either overtly or covertly, to be a spiritual successor, or even the sole successor, to Guru Nanak. Whatever the legitimacy of those, they have not produced a work so profound as this. I especially enjoyed the introduction by Dr. David Lane, who I have known for many years, and known about since I read the first printing of his expose of Eckankar' "Mahanta" Paul Twitchell, plagarist and bullshitter extraordinaire founder. Indeed "Eckankar" is stolen directly from the Jap Ji.
