Historia
When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Yeah, no
Revisado: 05-23-20
Books like this are the reason I don't trust reviews anymore. This might be an okay story and the idea behind it might have been great, but it has been completely ruined by the most annoying characters in the world. Every, single, character. The "hero" couldn't be more perfect if he tried, the villain couldn't be eviler if he tried. I listened to about 2 hours of this nonsense and gave up. There are too many great books to be listened to. This ain't it sis.

Historia
In her career as an Army intelligence officer, Amy Cornwall has seen haunting sights half a world away. None compare to the chilling scene at her Virginia home. It is empty. A phone rings with a terrifying ultimatum: locate and liberate an unnamed captive in 48 hours, or her kidnapped husband and 10-year-old daughter are dead. Now, and in open defiance of Army Command, Amy must employ every lethal tactic she has to save them. To succeed, she must discover not only who dispatched her on this mission, but why. Without her family, she's dead anyway.

Probably the worst James Patterson book
Revisado: 05-23-20
I have been listening and reading James Patterson's books for as long as I can remember and some are better than others, but for the most part I am happy with my purchase. This is singlehandedly the worst James Patterson book I have ever purchased. The story is so poorly written, a middle schooler could have written it. It is choppy, flat, predictable, and boring. I can't believe James Patterson slapped his name on this farce of a book. Horrible. The narration is just as bad. Hard pass.

Historia
Willow Havens is 10 years old and obsessed with the fear that her mother will die. Her mother, Polly, is a cantankerous, take-no-prisoners Southern woman who lives to chase varmints, drink margaritas, and antagonize the neighbors - and she sticks out like a sore thumb among the young, modern mothers of their small conventional Texas town. She was in her late 50s when Willow was born, so Willow knows she's here by accident, a late-life afterthought.

What a ride
Revisado: 05-23-20
First of all, Jenna Lamia could read a car manual and I would listen to it. This is a wonderful tale of life, having faith, overcoming addiction, and growing up. I'd like to be like Polly someday, she is a woman in charge. She is full of wisdom, opinion, and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend it.

Historia
Laugh-out-loud funny and deeply touching, Beth Hoffman's sparkling debut is, as Kristin Hannah says, "packed full of Southern charm, strong women, wacky humor, and good old-fashioned heart." It is a novel that explores the indomitable strengths of female friendship and gives us the story of a young girl who loses one mother and finds many others.

Beautiful story
Revisado: 05-23-20
Here lately, after many bad choices, I have started to branch out and found this book by chance. It is a beautiful story of a young girl being the sole caretaker of her mentally ill mother. It is a story of grief and how hard it is to cope with it sometimes. The narration is beautiful as well. I was really happy with this purchase.

It was okay, not great
Revisado: 05-16-20
This was my least favorite of the women's murder club series and even though I finished it, I was not all that excited about it. It was missing something,. It was missing excitement and finesse. It was just okay

What in the world?
Revisado: 02-19-20
Even though she gets crapped on a lot, I have pretty much enjoyed all of Charlaine Harris' characters. I never read the last Sookie Stackhouse book, because I was disappointed in the second to last. This though, this mess of a book doesn't even sound or read as if Charlaine had written it. It's almost like an imposter took on her name and tried to write a book. It is boring, it is all over the place like a kid that ran out of it's ADD medicine and don't even get me started on the narrator. How can a person sound BREATHY all the time? I have 6 hours left and I am just going to pass and call it a loss. More and more I am turned off by audible and audible reviews because it has lead me to buy one mess after another.

Historia
From Charlaine Harris, the best-selling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that's how the locals prefer it. Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It' s a pretty standard dried-up western town.
