It's a cold January at the Watertower Elementary School - the perfect weather for Gooney Bird Greene to break out her special brain-warming hat! It's a good thing she has one. Gooney Bird's brain will need to be as warm as possible this month, because Mrs. Pidgeon is teaching her class about poetry. Who knew there could be so many different ways to write a poem? Haikus, couplets, limericks - Mrs. Pidgeon's students soon find that writing good poetry takes a lot of hard work and creative thinking.

This book both put me in the classroom and in the place of each child. Very well done auditorily as well as keeping the actino going while holding your attention. Many lessons in that book. I would recommend the book to a more mature 8 to 10-year-old.

Brit's always have that english accent that we wish we had ourselves. Speaking for myself.
The idea of replacing life everyday negative tones with Compassion it's self is a novel idea. this book makes sense.
The literature is encouraging.
I feel it can be a benefit to any of us.
