Historia
On the treacherous streets of Riverside, a man lives and dies by the sword. Even the nobles on the Hill turn to duels to settle their disputes. Within this elite, dangerous world, Richard St. Vier is the undisputed master, as skilled as he is ruthless--until a death by the sword is met with outrage instead of awe, and the city discovers that the line between hero and villain can be altered in the blink of an eye.

I don't like the style at all
Revisado: 05-19-19
I would really rather prefer to be warned of gay sex content in advance. The reading is mediocre and I'm not a fan of this staged multi cast style with sound effects, a single talented reader is far preferable. I found the content offensive and after two attempts to get through it I gave up in chapter 9. Waste of money if you ask me.

Dragged a bit
Revisado: 10-23-18
Overall it was a good story, well read but it dragged a bit in the middle, I nearly gave it up but I was glad I stuck with it because it ended well.

In one life-changing moment, the lives of the Jewish exiles in Babylon are thrown into confusion and despair when a decree arrives from the king's palace in Susa. It calls for the annihilation of every Jewish man, woman, and child throughout the empire on the 13th day of Adar, in less than one year. Ezra, a quiet Jewish scholar and teacher, is suddenly called upon to lead the community as they seek God for a reason for this catastrophe.

Great romance

Classical romance with a slightly typical storyline but still very enjoyable and a pleasure to listen to. The narrator made it an easily believable tale with good voices and lovely cadence.

Good narration and enjoyable saga. The fantasy takes a good turn in the second book without repeating the first, i am interested to see if the author will bring another good change in the third book.

sweet murder mystery

Very much the same formula as the first book but a pleasant easy and undemanding read. Not exciting but a good narrator with an overall 'nice'. I'll take a break then probably read another book or two.

Historia
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

Historia
War and Peace is one of the greatest monuments in world literature. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Napoleonic Wars, it examines the relationship between the individual and the relentless march of history. Here are the universal themes of love and hate, ambition and despair, youth and age, expressed with a swirling vitality which makes the book as accessible today as it was when it was first published in 1869.

Revisado: 12-06-16
It took me a while to get into it but once I did I began to appreciate why it's one of the best novels ever written. Tolstoy is a brilliant theologian and made me think in new ways. The performance is very well done, it's not light hearted but a worthwhile read.

There is nothing better than a classic
Revisado: 02-18-15
Georgette Heyer is a classic romantic novelist and her books have been adored by the woman in my family for about a century and they don't deminishe with time. Phyllida Nash portrays the story with true brilliance and is a joy to listen to. It may not have been the first time I read this book and it won't be the last either.
