Historia
For ten years, I lived in a gilded cage inside King Midas's golden castle. One night changed everything. Now I'm here, a prisoner of Fourth Kingdom's army, and I'm not sure if I'm going to make it out of this in one piece. They're marching to battle, and I'm the bargaining chip that will either douse the fire or spark a war.

Good story finally picking up
Revisado: 04-09-25
The story is getting interesting. Only thing that is bothersome is the Queen’s voice. Otherwise the rest of narration is well done.

Revisado: 09-05-24
I found the book slow and lost interest. I also didn’t care for the female narrator.

Historia
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Premise too big for so short a story
Revisado: 05-22-24
Some spoilers—I feel like this premise would’ve been better served in a longer, more in-depth novel. This felt like taking a full-length novel and making into a tv movie. I love this authors writing, but something is lost in this format. Why June? Why was she stuck there? Who was the lady who kept her there and what happened with her? A lot of plot holes.. The idea of time-travel and wormholes was kind of a shtick. The opening was so confusing I had to relisten to it. Not my favorite of hers. But narrators were very good.

After a startling betrayal ends with both Sera and the dangerously seductive ruler of the Shadowlands she has fallen madly in love with being held captive by the false King of the Gods, there is only one thing that can free Nyktos and prevent the forces of the Shadowlands from invading Dalos and igniting a War of Primals. Convincing Kolis won’t be easy, though–not even with a lifetime of training.

Eh….it dragged…
Revisado: 11-08-23
I love this series, and most of her other ones. But this book felt very very long and dragged too much. To the point where the climatic scenes were anti-climatic to me. And the ending was very unfulfilling. I was really hoping for more out of this part of the series but by the time the end part came the buildup just hadn’t been there for me. I felt like the book could’ve been condensed to half its size at least. Too much repetitive introspection. Overall, this story just seemed like a filler book to tell what happens in the last ten chapters which was already expected.

Running into your ex is never ideal. Running into your ex who is now dating your nemesis is a literal nightmare. That’s how I found myself in a sheer panic, reaching for the closest guy at the bar and kissing him. And to my delight he was easily the most attractive man I’ve ever seen.

Parts were thin and frustrating
Revisado: 07-12-23
Without giving away spoilers there were many times in the story that I felt were contrived. Where a character could’ve said a few words and things would’ve been solved easily. Also if Silas was so well known and popular why was he able to walk around a dorm unseen and unreported? The ending was unsatisfying also. Those who caused all the conflict were never dealt with—just a swift apology and more sex. (I’m not against all the sex but let’s not use it as filler).

Historia
The many lives of theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway have finally caught up with her. By day, she’s an adjunct professor, toiling away at grading labs and teaching thermodynamics in the hopes of landing tenure. By other day, Elsie makes up for her non-existent paycheck by offering her services as a fake girlfriend, tapping into her expertly honed people-pleasing skills to embody whichever version of herself the client needs. Honestly, it’s a pretty sweet gig—until her carefully constructed Elsie-verse comes crashing down.

Savannah Cade's dreams are coming true. The Claire Donovan, editor-in-chief of the most successful romance publishing company in the country, has requested to see the manuscript Savannah's been secretly writing. The only problem: she's an editor for a different company, and their philosophy is only highbrow works are worth printing and romance should be reserved for the lowest level of Dante's inferno.

Starts off sooo slow
Revisado: 05-22-23
The secondary characters are ridiculously unbelievable and I almost DNFd it. I can’t stand when the heroine is made to look spineless as a way to be “nice”. No. Take that angle out and I would’ve enjoyed it more. Except it was sooo slow until mid point.

I DNF
Revisado: 05-06-23
I couldn’t stick with it. I tried. Hades seemed like a captivating character but there were too many characters being introduced up front for me to get an idea of what was happening and for the story to really get moving. I wasn’t invested in knowing what was going to happen. Nothing kept me wanting to continue. And I agree the narration seems AI.

I didn’t know bridesmaid was code for babysitter for the bride’s brother, but if that’s what my best friend needs of me for her dream wedding to go off without a hitch, that’s what I’ll do. Even if Theo Monroe has been a pain in my rear since third grade. Even if he should be responsible enough to not wreak havoc at his sister’s destination wedding.

Cute concept—but
Revisado: 04-25-23
I think parts were a bit overblown and it was dragged out a bit too long. Plus I found Emma to be extremely grating, self-centered, oblivious, and not worthy of so many people going out of their way to make things so perfect at their expense.
