A team of archaeologists, investigating coastal erosion on the north Norfolk coast, unearth six bodies buried at the foot of a cliff. How long have they been there? What could have happened to them? Forensics expert Ruth Galloway and DCI Nelson are drawn together again to unravel the past. Tests reveal that the bodies have lain, preserved in the sand, for sixty years. The mystery of their deaths stretches back to the Second World War, a time when Great Britain was threatened by invasion.

Historia
As dusk approaches a small Dublin suburb in the summer of 1984, mothers begin to call their children home. But on this warm evening, three children do not return from the dark and silent woods. When the police arrive, they find only one of the children gripping a tree trunk in terror, wearing blood-filled sneakers, and unable to recall a single detail of the previous hours. Twenty years later, the found boy, Rob Ryan, is a detective on the Dublin Murder Squad and keeps his past a secret.

Excessively flowery descriptions of useless info.
Revisado: 02-15-20
I am spending a lot of time wishing the narrative would move on. spend more time explaining the plot, less time trying to be poetic.

Historia
It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music", a Mafia hit. But the LAPD's organized crime unit is curiously uninterested, and when Harry follows a trail of gambling debts to Las Vegas, the case suddenly becomes more complex - and much more personal.

it was a good story, but I really couldn't wait for it to end. it felt like he had a quota of pages to fill, and added stuff to make that quota.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Revisado: 02-28-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

What was most disappointing about Fred Armisen’s story?
Very odd. I'm up for silly, but this was strange...and not funny.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Candace Devereaux (Fred Armisen)?
no one
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Bewilderment.
Any additional comments?
Not funny.

Historia
Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she'd rather not know. And now that she's an adult, she also realizes that some things that she knows about, she'd rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one. There's a thing or two she'd like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town.

I love all the sookie books!
Revisado: 09-27-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, as with the entire Sookie collection by Charlaine Harris, this has all of the action and adventure...but gasp...is this the last?
Which character – as performed by Johanna Parker – was your favorite?
I love Sookie of Course, but I also love Pam. Johanna brings her character to life!
If you could take any character from Deadlocked out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Probably either Pam or Eric. They have a very unique personality, yet they are loyal to their friends. I'd rather be their friend than their enemy

WOW ODD!!!!
Revisado: 12-23-09
Well, it wasn't what I expected. It was more like the telling of a 15 year old's worst nightmare. There's a strong message being sent here. I might change my mind after hearing the next installment, but for now, I have reservations. (the lingo of the kids is a bit over the top too)
