Awful storyline I had to quit. Infantile performance I couldn't take it. I thought the reviews all moved this book but this must be for young teens.

Not my book
Revisado: 04-01-20
A new series, and its not David Rosenfelt's regular - just as long as you know that. Then the plot was hard to follow, but it may have been me. I was hoping for his humor and dry wit, but it wasnt there.

Awesome I loved it
Revisado: 03-10-20
His style and the way the author can get inside the characters and they just become real. He takes your through many conclusions but it becomes in a way most satisfying at the end.

Historia
To survive in a game with no rules at all, John Corey must invent a strategy that includes no luck at all. He and the Anti-Terrorist Task Force must stop "The Lion," an alleged Libyan terrorist with the instincts of a wild animal, the bloodlust of a carnivore, and the boldness and speed of a cat of prey.

Revisado: 12-24-19
Way too long and full of rambling conversation to just fill space. Had to skip ahead a lot or I would have gone stark crazy. Then the end just ends. His humor is funny in the new books, but here its just downright infantile. There was just enough meat to want to finish the book, with no ending satisfaction.

Historia
A major North American hydroelectric dam is blown up and the largest off-shore oil field in this hemisphere is destroyed in a brutal, coordinated terrorist attack. But there was one factor that the terrorists didn't take into account when they struck the Capitana platform off the coast of Colombia—slaughtering much of the crew and blowing up the platform—and that was the Capitana crew chief Dewey Andreas. Dewey, former Army Ranger and Delta, survives the attack, rescuing as many of his men as possible. But the battle has just begun.

Childish
Revisado: 03-20-16
Very poorly written. conversation sounds like the author doesn't know how adults discuss. So much research to make things realistic is missing. A scene with a fire is totally wrong, I've been a fireman and it's nothing like this. The head people act like immature kids. You get the sense nothing has SOP's so each person wings it. The helicopter crash is unrealistic, bystanders stand under falling wreckage. Enough

What a beautiful story, loved every bit of it. It seemed so unfair and his brothers so hardened, yet in the end he not only was the winner, but because he loved his family he brought them all together. True love story.

Bill is not the best narrator but this narrative on the history, of things I never knew kept me on and I couldnt stop. I listened in two evenings and got a lot of work done besides. Loved it, and now know so much more behind the scenes and what the setting was, why and how come they did things then. etc. Very good!

Historia
The year is 2008 and Samantha Kofer's career at a huge Wall Street law firm is on the fast track - until the recession hits and she gets downsized, furloughed, escorted out of the building. Samantha, though, is one of the "lucky" associates. She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. In a matter of days Samantha moves from Manhattan to Brady, Virginia, population 2,200, in the heart of Appalachia, a part of the world she has only read about.

Not John Grisham
Revisado: 11-21-14
I don't know who wrote this book, and I've read all of his books. This is not what I expected. For example flying in a small plane at 1500 feet and she can tell the water below has the consistency of thick oil? huh? And did he do his research on coal mining? In Canada this is not even close to how coal is mined! Its like he has a severe agenda on coal. Sure there is places where coal and corruption combine and you get a bad "seam", like what I expect in China? But then set the story there. The narrator is the worst in the first 3 chapters, you have to skip those completely. Her voice sounds like she is laying in bed and reading to her dog. Boring and raspy! Sorry I am returning this one.
