This book is nothing more than a regurgitation of every lame joke you would expect to hear from your weird unemployed uncle. My grandmother has come up with more savage insults. If anyone in real life ever used these jokes they would come across as creepy, or mentally deficient. That was a waste of time and money.

It’s not exactly a thriller. It’s predictable, and at times childish. A lot of it doesn’t make sense, and the plot seems rushed. The characters have very little relatability, and don’t have much personality at all. This is extremely dull. I feel like there is so much that could have been done with this concept. It was a great book idea, it was just executed poorly.

It’s entertaining enough. Though it is clearly a Stephen King book written with his signature clichés there are some interesting characters and concepts. Worth a read.

Even though there are a few plot holes, and it’s a bit underdeveloped this is one of the better king books I’ve read. I would have enjoyed it more had more detail been put into the development of this story, but it was intriguing, and kept me listening. King is a great writer, despite the fact that he is repetitive to the point that some aspects of his stories become a cliché, but they are enjoyable, and interesting.
The alcohol addicted father, the cursing children, the over the top monsters, the locations, and the silly character names are just some of the Stephen king clichés that somehow never get old. You are going to get exactly what you think your going to get, a Stephen King novel.

Horrible narrator

Okay, this narrators portrayal of a man with a lisp is unbearable I hear. It’s honestly offensive to people that have lisps or speech impediments. I usually don’t complain about narrators, however I feel like my ear drums were just violated. Purchase at you own risk of being audio-assaulted.

Disappointing

This series has serious structural issues. There is not central conflict, no climax, no satisfactory conclusion, and no solid storyline. It’s just an entire series of books about one couple with no reasoning behind the story. It’s more of a group of events then a story. The characters are infuriating as well. If this were real life this would be a toxic relationship. Logan has control issues, and Tate has anger issues. Neither of them trust the other. It’s just a recipe for disaster

The story was dull, and unbelievably dim when trying to explain supernatural boundaries. However it has one of the best narrators I’ve ever heard. Those accents were amazing.

Honesty messed up. The protagonist kills animals, and enjoys it. They blame the demon for the fact that this kid is a straight psychopath.
