Historia
Funnyman Adam Carolla is known for two things: hilarious rants about things that drive him crazy and personal stories about everything from his hardscrabble childhood to his slacker friends to the hypocrisy of Hollywood. He tackled rants in his first book, and now he tells his best stories and debuts some never-before-heard tales as well. Adam Carolla started broke and blue collar and has now been on the Hollywood scene for over 15 years. Yet he never lost his underdog demeanor.

Great performance and listen

What did you love best about Not Taco Bell Material?
I loved the honesty. His words painted vivid images in my head some were good and others were disturbing. Carolla tells a great story and this book is crammed with them.
What other book might you compare Not Taco Bell Material to and why?
Greg Fitzsimmon's book "Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons" because both authors let it all hang out. They spoke frankly about growing up and how they felt.
What does Adam Carolla bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He digresses often and brings in Ray Oldhoffer and Dr. Drew to help the stories along.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No it's damn near 8 hours.

Historia
It's what he was raised to do. Most parents would hide or destroy any evidence so clearly demonstrating their child's failures, but-lucky for us-Greg Fitzsimmons's family has preserved each mistake in its original envelope like a trophy in a case, lest he ever forget where he came from.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons (The Audiobook) to be better than the print version?
Really enjoyed listening to the Fitzdog. His stories are hilarious. He goes deep with secrets that most folks would never reveal. The guest narrators add a nice flavor to the listening experience.
What did you like best about this story?
The truthfulness.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Great performance.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It definitely made me laugh.

Historia
It's a sad and eerie harbinger of our times that the Oprah-watching, crystal-rubbing, Whole Foods-shopping moms and their whipped attorney husbands have taken the ability to reason away from the poor schlub who makes the Bloody Marys. What we used to settle with common sense or a fist, we now settle with hand sanitizer and lawyers. Adam Carolla has had enough of this insanity and he's here to help us get our collective balls back.
