Historia
What silently waits in the shadows at night? What's under your bed, keeping just out of sight? Do you ever hear strange, creaking noises at night? Ever wonder what makes those noises? Lucy Dungston always did. Until, one morning, Lucy discovers that all the grown-ups have disappeared - as if into thin air. Chaos descends as the children in Lucy's town run riot. It's mayhem. It's madness. To most kids, it's amazing!

Quite sweet!
Revisado: 11-04-18
I haven't read a kids' story in ages but this one reminded me of how good it feels to let my mind rest and just enjoy a simple adventure. Although this one wasn't quite as simple as one might have expected. It was brilliantly written and had all the fun expected from a children's book. I adored the audible experience so much. They made it sound like a bed story time and the fact that Tom made an appearance here and there made it all even more enjoyable.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

I didn't expect it to be this interesting!
Revisado: 06-09-18
When I first discovered what time of book this was I was just like "Nop. Not for me." But everyone kept talking about it so I decided to give it a go. The book ended up being more interesting than I thought it would. It's not only relatable but it also teaches you how to face difficult situations, learn from it and move on. You'll actually learn how to not give a fuck about things that do not matter. It's not full of those crappy scenarios where everyting will be alright. It actually tells you that is not. There will be times when life will suck. You'll just have to understand if whether or not it is your fault and act on it. Don't victimise yourself. Don't just stay and wait for destiny and "what is really yours will find you (back)". Fight for what you want. It'll be hard but in the end, you'll get that sense of accomplishment and you'll know that you deserve everything you got. You'll succeed but you will also fail and there will be an incountable number of situations in life that will make you worry, stress, get frustrated about and even make you want to cry. And you'll just fail as hard as everyone of us will because we will never know everything there is to know. The only thing we know for certain is that we won't be here forever. Death is inevitable. So enjoy the time you spend here and learn which things are worth giving fucks about.
It wasn't the best book I've read but it was a really nice one! I gave it four out of five stars and will recommend it as a bit of light reading.

The title doesn't prepare you for what's coming!
Revisado: 05-13-18
I really didn't know what to think when I first stumble upon this book so I didn't have to worry if whether or not it would fulfill my expectations. The story itself has a great concept and it really envolves you in its environment. I appreciated the fact that each point of view was told differently and that each life was somehow connect to the others. Although it didn't make feel like I was experiencing the journey with the characters, as some books do, I didn't feel lost in it. Actually, the only downside of the book was the ending. All the story line was perfectly planned and written but the last part felt empty. I think it could have been better developed. There were lots of unanswered questions that I feel would have brought a better ending. One with a more powerful meaning and a greater impact on the reader's experience. Besides that, I enjoyed it very much. I've only rated it 4 stars but I recommend it anyway. You won't regret it! They've gone through a great adventure and they actually seized the day and that's the message I'll retain from this book.

The Undercover Story
Revisado: 02-25-18
The Undercover Princess was the first audiobook I've ever listened to. When I was trying to choose which book to pick I decided that I wanted a light read that would allow myself to adjust my reading skills to audiobook world. I chose The Undercover Princess because I thought it would be like the Disney movie Princess Protection Program. I knew the story so it would be easier to follow through. I could not be more wrong. This story has nothing to do with the movie. The magic surrounding it's so much more mesmerizing. I was expecting some kind of cheesy love story but instead I was presented with a beautifully constructed friendship based in loyalty, protection and adventure. Not a predictable friendship based on the similarities both Ellie and Lottie had but on their differences. Night and day. The sun and the moon. I was absolutely attached to the characters. I really related myself with Lottie, I adored Eleanor Wolfson and her wild personality, I hated Anastacia with all my strength (not in the end bit of course) and I respected Jamie. Never for a moment I had expected the story to turn out the way it did. It was unpredictable, well written and meaningful. What can I say? I'm utterly in love with it. I haven't loved a book this much for a very long time. I can't wait to read the second book! Until then, I will do my very best to be kind, brave and unstoppable!
