Ridiculous story and it sucks when you just can't
Revisado: 06-16-19
It just sucks when you can't find a decent a decent book, plus you can no longer return it. I guess I have to go into my library and listen to an old book for the umpteenth time, again. Guess I'm going to have to quit this show after many many year.

Historia
Ex-actress Libby Sarjeant is producing and directing a play in her home village of Steeple Martin. She never expected her exciting new venture to lead to romance: and she certainly didn't expect mystery, intrigue, and murder. When a series of accidents culminates in murder being committed, Libby is compelled to find out if its roots are in the past or the more sordid present. A cast of local characters alternately helps and hinders her, including Fran the sceptical psychic and Sidney the guard cat.

On stage
Revisado: 02-15-19
When you are on stage you are supposed to project your voice, but not when you are reading some one an audiobook.
Please Mz. Tomlinson stop screeching female characters voices with your extremely shrill voice. Listen to a reading by Julia Barrie "Murder at the Laurels". One feels very relaxed when she reads an audiobook. You completely spoiled several of Lesley Cookman's well written books for me.

Fantasy Rubbish
Revisado: 10-23-17
Please don't choose this book because of the pleasing Christmassy cover. First few
chapters have promise, but then she hops on a plane for one week of a holiday in Kenya.
Do you know how long the flight is to get to Kenya, then back again, and she is only
going for a week. I lived in Central Africa for seven years so please believe me this poorly
researched rubbish gets worse and worse. Don't waste your time or credit. Couldn't
finish.

First comes marriage. Then comes divorce. Then it's every woman for herself …Every Woman for Herself is a hilarious account of divorce and dating from Sunday Times bestseller Trisha Ashley. Perfect for fans of Katie Fforde and Carole Matthew, the country setting and rom-com storyline make this the perfect summer paperback. When Charlie's husband Matt tells her that he wants a divorce she has to start from scratch.

Treat yourself to a good giggle. Oh yes !!
Revisado: 12-10-15
Totally engrossing from beginning to end. Charlie is so lovable, a girl after my own
heart. Her thoughts and actions had me giggling and laughing out loud. The down to earth
affection of her family so amusing you will want to become one of them, sister, cousin
even. I listened late into the night and didn't want to stop. Narration by Julia Barrie couldn't have been more perfect. So good I just started this book again straight away, just
to have that feel good feeling. I would give it six stars if I could.

Outlander, the very best. Cannot be outdone.
Revisado: 08-12-14
Diana Gabaldon is a top notch writer. Her Outlander series grabs your imagination and will not let you go until you have listened to the very last book and the very last word. Narrator Davina Porter is a joy to listen to. All the different voices she uses are pure magic and her scottish accent is undeniably the best of the best.
Now I have a problem in finding a book that can give me the interest, satisfaction and the magic that the Outlander series gave me. Oh, and did I say that I have fallen deeply in love with Jamie Fraser even though I know that Claire is the perfect wife for him.
The only way I can solve my problem is to listen to the series, yes, each and every book
all over again. Maybe, by that time Diana Gabaldon will have written another book in this series and I will be entranced all over again.
I will be watching the TV series starting here in Canada Aug.24th with bated breath.

His interest in her was purely professional...or so he told himself. Nash Kirkland had sought out Morgana Donovan, self-proclaimed witch, to help him research his latest screenplay. The hardheaded skeptic didn't believe for a minute she was what she professed to be, but Nash somehow found himself falling under her bewitching spell. Nash had never trusted his feelings. How could he be sure the irresistible passion he felt was real and not just some conjurer's trick?

Revisado: 12-19-13
I cannot believe Nora Roberts would write such utter rubbish. Many of NR's books have been thoroughly enjoyable and I am a great fan of her writings. But really ! This book is pure non-sense. Please Nora, get well soon !
