Historia
My name is Mercy Thompson Hauptman, and my mate, Adam, is the werewolf who leads the Columbia Basin Pack, the pack charged with keeping the people who live and work in the Tri-Cities of Washington State safe. It’s a hard job, and it doesn’t leave much room for side quests. Which is why when I needed to travel to Montana to help my brother, I intended to go by myself.

First half not interesting
Revisado: 11-24-24
The first half seemed prolonged just as the previous book. The last 2 hours were very good.

Historia
The vampire Wulfe is missing. Since he’s deadly, possibly insane, and his current idea of “fun” is stalking me, some may see it as no great loss. But, warned that his disappearance might bring down the carefully constructed alliances that keep our pack safe, my mate and I must find Wulfe—and hope he’s still alive. As alive as a vampire can be, anyway.

Not as engaging
Revisado: 11-20-24
The first half of the book seemed prolonged and too sad and dramatic. The last quarter of the book was great.

I shifted into a saber-toothed tiger...but that was just the beginning. Jax, Cobra, and Ascher are now my teammates. Once again, we're fighting for our lives. And our futures. But nothing is as it seems, and for every secret we uncover, another unfolds. Under the spiteful watch of Xerxes and the evil Fae Queen, it's not clear we're going to survive. Can we work together? Or will we implode? One thing is for sure: I'm about to uncover my destiny.

Fight like a girl...or a shifter of lore. After growing up with nothing, I've finally found my path to freedom: I'm a shifter, an elite soldier who transforms into a monster. All I have to do is survive. I didn't count on my three 6'5 roommates. Covered in tattoos, jeweled, and horned, these are like no men I've ever dealt with before. They don't think I belong. They don't think I'm strong enough for war. They don't think I can fight. I'm about to prove them wrong. The only problem, can I survive them discovering the secrets of my past?

Historia
Not only is the Ghost Platoon the only permanently configured platoon in the Tasmanian SFG, it only has ten men assigned, never has an assigned objective, and is commanded by a woman whose call sign is Fox. While most in the Tasmanian SFG hunt the enemy like a pack of wolves, the Ghost Platoon is frequently behind enemy lines, like foxhounds, searching for ways to be a general pain in the enemy’s ass.

The previous books were amazing, this one is just ok. Too much fast action, too much action as well. Felt rushed.

Historia
All Things Aside is a punchy, honest, incisive book that shares a view of the world through the eyes of the inimitable Iliza Shlesinger. From the macro to micro, Shlesinger tackles it all with her no-bullshit comedic style. Throughout the book, Shlesinger dives from one subject into the next, making her hilarious asides the basis of her stories, much like she does in her stand-up comedy. Topics range from dissecting social expectations to the notion that products marketed specifically to women are scams, and all manner of things in between.

Historia
“This isn't strictly speaking an instructional manual, but a work of comedic philosophy.” Elvis Costello - songwriter, singer, author, and Fender Jazzmaster known to his admirers as “The Little Hands of Concrete” - spins his tale with wit, grit, and spit to spare. How to Play the Guitar and Y, Costello’s new entry into Audible’s Words + Music series, combines recitation, impersonation, and musical illustration to show you how to turn a three-chord trick into a four-chord caper and let your curiosity take you where it will.

Suave as sliding your body in silk sheets
Revisado: 01-17-22
Y? Y? Y… many reasons can be given for a person to stop playing, when we were kids there was no better time than play time
As we grow and try to find reasons to play more than the for simple pleasure of it, we forget the feeling that playing really brings us, whether you play an instrument, a character, a sport ot any game, playing brings a pleasure that nothing else can compare to.
This gorgeous essay by the musical God Elvis Costello wakes in us that desire, that need and that pleasure that we can find only in playing.
We should play more, play more music, more characters, more games… but above all, we should play ourselves more, we should play our lives and try to see our life from above, like one would do when watching a film.
We should play our lives just because our lives began by playing, by imagining what we could become.
Thank you Elvis Costello, for teminding us that what we do for a living, was a game before… it has been a game all along!
