Historia
It's April, 1988, a month before Kinsey Millhone's 38th birthday, and she's alone in her office doing paperwork when a young man arrives unannounced. He has a preppy air about him and looks as if he'd be carded if he tried to buy booze, but Michael Sutton is 27, an unemployed college dropout. Twenty-one years earlier, a four-year-old girl disappeared, and a recent reference to her kidnapping has triggered a flood of memories.

Historia
In what may be her most unsettling novel to date, Sue Grafton's T Is for Trespass is also her most direct confrontation with the forces of evil. Beginning slowly with the day-to-day life of a private eye, Grafton suddenly shifts from the voice of Kinsey Millhone to that of Solana Rojas, introducing listeners to a chilling sociopath. Rojas is not her birth name. It is an identity she cunningly stole, an identity that gives her access to private caregiving jobs.

Fantastic As Always
Revisado: 09-21-21
I love the whole concept of the Stormlight series. I did enjoy Rythms very much but it meander a lot. It must have been a very difficult book to produce by Michael and Kate, who as always did a wonderful job. I'm looking forward to the next book and I hope it has a more exciting story line.Thank you Brandon!

Not For Me
Revisado: 01-18-19
I found this book crude, crass and boring. I did not enjoy the Irish accent of the narrator either. I wasted a credit I can’t claim back. The reviews were so good too. I would not recommend this book on an level.

Not to be unkind to one of my favourite authors but for me this book lacked the usual nail biting sparkle of a Scarpetta novel. Susan Ericson's addition of a Y in front of a vowel, for instance instead of 'I am' you get 'I yam', and the bleed into each other of words and sentences made me want to shout. The timber of her voice is lovely as always but her pronunciation was never crisp it was just sloppy. It definitely distracted me. I finished the book but I'm not sure if I'll buy the next.

The darkest and most disturbing case report from the files of Kinsey Millhone, Y begins in 1979, when four teenage boys from an elite private school sexually assault a 14-year-old classmate - and film the attack. Not long after, the tape goes missing, and the suspected thief, a fellow classmate, is murdered. In the investigation that follows, one boy turns state's evidence, and two of his peers are convicted. I Loved Y is for Yesterday!
Revisado: 10-28-17
The story is a page turner and Judy Kay does an excellent job of portraying the various characters clearly and with interest for the listener. She is a master at transferring the emotions through her voice to us. There are some truly nail biting moments in Y is for Yesterday which will have you sitting on the edge of your chair, shouting "oh noooooo!". I have read every book in the alphabet series and loved each and every one. Kinsey is my favourite female detective character. I love her morals and ethics in the pursuit of her job and the way she lives. I'm so familiar with the characters I feel I know them as friends. If only! One book to go in the series....Z is for...
Personally I hope Ms Grafton doubles up on the alphabet and starts again at A!

Historia
This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

MORE DYSTOPIAN APOCALYPTIC TRASH!
Revisado: 03-12-15
Once you begin listening it soon becomes clear the story is yet another dystopian tale with predictable and boring consequences. This storyline has been done to death so many times! The book is hideously long if you don't like it, which I didn't. After the last Stephen King I was determined not to spend any more money on writing that is filled with vile images, foul language and plot lines that cover the same ground over and over but there were so many 5 star reviews I thought this must be something special. It isn't. It's more of the same. The female characters are simpering and seemingly simple minded, raising instant irritation. The male characters are bombastic criminals who delight in drinking, raping and pillaging. Unfortunately Audible does not provide the caveat mentioned in the book nor the offer of a refund the author mentions. I will try and get my money back if I can. I was glad to be done with this 'book'.

Dean Koontz Is The Master Of Fright!
Revisado: 06-15-13
Dean Koontz is the Master of fright! He is a fantastic Wordsmith who weaves intricate and absorbing tales with a wonderful balance of menace and humor. His writings often draw attention to current affairs or situations of concern or interest.
One door away from Heaven parallels three lives successfully which finally merge together as one. His love of dogs clearly shines through in this interesting tale of the bizarre and sinister.
Anne Twomey reads this book very well and in no way detracts from the story or irritates in any way.
Worth a listen!

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Moving and very interesting!
Revisado: 01-02-12
Would you listen to Man's Search for Meaning again? Why?
Yes, I will listen to this again since there is much to be absorbed in the telling.
What did you like best about this story?
The author's first hand experience and insight is invaluable and very moving. So often information is not based on personal experience but the teaching of other people passed on to the reader. Dr. Frankl not only survived this terrible ordeal but wrote it down for us to read and learn from.
What does Simon Vance bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Simon Vance is an excellent narrator and reads with sensitivity and intelligence.
If you could give Man's Search for Meaning a new subtitle, what would it be?
This would require a lot of thought.
Any additional comments?
This small book evokes a lot of emotion in the listener and gives an invaluable insight into the human character on the road of survival. If our behaviour as humans is of interest to you then this book is a must!

Historia
Kay Scarpetta has been training at the Dover Port Mortuary, mastering the art of ‘virtual autopsy’ - a groundbreaking procedure that could soon revolutionise forensic science. And it is not too long before these new skills urgently need to be put into practice. A young man drops dead, apparently from a heart condition, eerily close to Scarpetta’s home.

A very good listen!
Revisado: 01-02-12
Would you listen to Port Mortuary again? Why?
Yes, I would. I mostly tend to listen to the books I buy more than once since I often miss a lot first time round. Leave it for a few months and it's like a new book again.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot, like all Scarpetta novels, was great.
Which character – as performed by Kate Burton – was your favorite?
She reads very well and I like her entire rendition.
Who was the most memorable character of Port Mortuary and why?
I remember most of them but mostly the bad guys seem to hang around in a person's memory.
Any additional comments?
If anything, it was too short. I love long books with interesting and cunning plots and lots of twists and turns.
