How more soothing can a voice be?
Revisado: 01-29-25
Diahann Carroll was a classy beautiful soul. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to The Legs Are The Last To Go. Her legacy of singing and acting will always be etched in my memory bank of one of the best!

Awesome read with a plethora of life lessons
Revisado: 05-02-23
Zaila Avant-garde nailed the title of her book metaphorically by stating facts without being braggadocios. She has inspired me to chip away at my goals and to never quit on anything in life. I enjoyed listening while taking notes to quote her a few times in an upcoming speech to a girls basketball team at my alma mater. Thank you fir writing and sharing your story.
Best,
Janice

Historia
Stephen A. Smith has never been handed anything, nor was he an overnight success. Growing up poor in Queens, the son of Caribbean immigrants and the youngest of six children, he was a sports-obsessed kid who faced struggles, from undiagnosed dyslexia to getting enough cereal to fill his bowl. As a basketball player at Winston-Salem State University, he got a glimmer of his true calling when he wrote a newspaper column arguing for the retirement of his own Hall of Fame coach, Clarence Gaines.

Awesome listen/read. He spoke the truth straight up!
Revisado: 01-24-23
I thoroughly enjoyed Stephen A’s candor no holds bar spoken word about his life journey as a son, brother, student, athlete and journalist. We all make mistakes in life but hell get back up and face reality once again. I admired how he waited to speak the truth about his father once his sweet yet stern mother had passed and his true feelings toward him while eulogizing Mr. Smith. First 15 minutes of listening I called one of my dear friends who is an avid reader then I text my baby Brother.
