Historia
Five hundred years after Luther's now famous 95 Theses appeared, Eric Metaxas, acclaimed biographer of the best-selling Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy and Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery, paints a startling portrait of the wild figure whose adamantine faith cracked the edifice of Western Christendom and dragged medieval Europe into the future.

Incredible details of a man who gave us so much.
Revisado: 03-30-19
This book has so much personal detail that you must see this hero of our religious past as a human. His physical suffering yet acceptance of the human estate is written so clearly. He had a temper yet a great sense of humor. His
Constant fight against the Catholic Church, yet his clear knowledge of grace is beyond remarkable.

Historia
The body of world-famous journalist Jeanette Thiels is discovered the day after Christmas, frozen in a snow-covered garden just steps from her hotel on Sandhamn Island. Detective Thomas Andreasson finds it highly unlikely that it was some bizarre accident. After all, the relentless war-zone correspondent was no stranger to conflict and controversy - both professional and, of late, very personal. Who would want to see her dead is another story.

Very entertaining multiple mysteries
Revisado: 11-02-18
I enjoyed the different facets of this book. The multiple families were hard to keep apart, maybe because of the foreign names. I thought the performance was excellent. Having more than one mystery made it more interesting.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

Could not stop listening when I started!
Revisado: 05-04-14
Would you listen to Unbroken again? Why?
Yes but later on. It completely took over my mind, I didn't want to stop listening to it, so don't want to start it again soon.
What other book might you compare Unbroken to and why?
None, I had a hard time beginning another book.
What does Edward Herrmann bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I am blind so that is not an option.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
How did one man survive this many "tragedies"?
