Best novel I’ve read in 2022!

Beautifully written with characters you’ll
fall in love with. Interesting twists and turns. Polly and Agnes, main character octogenarians, dispense such wisdom and humanity. Multigenerational characters appeal to all. The ending ties everything up and includes a surprise.

This is a fascinating WWII historical fiction novel heavily based on the amazing code breaking work in England that contributed to ending WWII. But that work underlies the compelling relationship between its 3 main female characters. The narrator did a marvelous job.

Adventurous, suspenseful historical fiction from the medieval period. Quite original. I wish I’d read it instead of listened to it. Reynolds has a wonderful voice but his performance was so highly modulated that I kept having to turn the volume up and down—not ideal wham driving!
