Ok, Siren! Ring the alarm

G. Huffington writes such great stories that she makes me want to be a stripper. This author wrote another book, Sensitivity, in which the main character is a stripper (if you haven’t read it….you should). For real though, Siren was giving the crowd the business and Lawe got caught up. LOL And the way his brothers had his back was a true testament to how strong family support can be. Lawe had his brothers making it rain but they couldn’t look too hard at her performance. Ha ha ha. This is a great listen and worth the credit.

Beast in shining armor

All I’m going to say is….this is the kind of man you want in your life. Foxx knew he was going to pay for f**king around with that girl and he stood 10 toes down. He took that a** whipping with a smile….well kinda. LOL But this was a good listen, the narrators were good and brought the characters to life. The wood series is turning out to be better than the TV show Power. LOL It’s so many dynamics to this family but it’s all relatable. The love between these two is definitely goal worthy…. This chick literally washed this man’s a** when it was difficult for him to do it himself❤️ it!!!!! That’s what I’m talking about. You gotta listen.

Team Frisco!

This is a 14 hour and some change listen but it’s so action packed that it goes by quickly. Frisco is my new book boyfriend. He is a bully, lover, loyal, fine AF and some mo’ adjectives. He’s a beast….I just love him. Oh and his love interest ain’t no joke, she’s time enough for him. If a man don’t ring my bell and confess his love to me on the porch in the rain….I don’t want him, This is a great listen!!!

I was slipping on this one

This is the best in the series. I thought the first installments were cool, but this one right here…….Bay B….this is everything. We got to lean more about family members, and update on the first couple. I absolutely loved the poetry sprinkled throughout - it was a nice touch. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the character development and growth is on point. The H and h has some **it with them, but they owned it and the couple was able to work through it …..that’s what I’m talking about grown people sh**. Last but not least……I’m convinced Wesleigh in not human. I mean is it ANYTHING this woman can’t do. She did an outstanding job narrating and bringing the characters to life. Get this book….it will not disappoint.

Monotone, but…….

The narrator’s performance was very monotone. I didn’t hear one ounce of excitement in their voices. I wonder if they were tired, but I wouldn’t advise listening if your are tired as it will put you to sleep. However, the story is good. K.C. Mills didn’t disappoint - I just wish she had better narrators on this one. I’m a diehard audio listener but if I still purchased books, I would pick up the paperback for this. The story is worth it!

Wheeeeeew!

This is absolutely beautiful. This couple went through so much, but love was always there. Although this story was deep, I never felt sad because I just knew X and Babydoll was going to make it. I’ve listened to other books from this author and this one does not disappoint. Ms. Renee’s writing is so rich and descriptive that I actually thought I was at Babydoll’s party and when X began to sing (I hope I’m not giving anything away), I felt that sh**, like for real. EXCELLENT writing, I just added Ms. Renee to my favs. Oh and of course Ms. Wesleigh and the male narrator brought the characters to life, Even if you don’t have a credit, this book is worth it.

Tasteful Eroica

I don’t know if this is considered an erotic book, but it has some spicy sex scenes -very tastefully done (although I’m all for the cursing and f*cking); this didn’t have much of that but just as juicy as well. It’s not just the sex, there are deeper family issues, stereotypes, sibling rivalry and much more. This is my second book from this author and I must say her writing is clear, descriptive, edited properly, and good storytelling. The first book had a mediocre narrator, but the story was so interesting that I stilled listened - twice! It’s worth the credit.

Not enough detail…..but it’s ok

So this is a looooog listen; 11 hours to be real and there is NO excitement. The book keeps the same speed. I think the narrators makes this doable. The story is okay, not thrilling, exciting, swoon worthy, juicy hot or any of the other adjectives that you can use. It’s just ok. I could relate to the story, but I can’t tell you anything about the environment; I don’t even know how the H and h really look or any of the other characters. Since the story talks about some real issues- it’s kinda interesting, but because there is not enough development of the people and environment, it was hard to connect.

You already know…..

If Wesleigh is narrating, it’s going to be good and this doesn’t disappoint. The h is no nonsense and the H falls right in line. This is sexy, honest, and real. An absolute enjoyable read. Oh and not to mention, the intimate scenes are 🔥.

It’s good….but

This book is over an eight-hour listen and I feel that it was rushed AND it has an epilogue that still didn’t tie everything together. I think there wasn’t enough character development. It gave enough that I could figure out what happened, but I would have liked the author to let us know for sure. For example, not to give any spoilers, there is an incident that happens to the h but there is no mention of the brother’s reaction to the incident; although the h and the brother are very close. Then, the couple experiences some friction in their relationship, then BAM, everything is cool, I don’t know; it is a good story, I feel like I was served a sandwich with a couple of bites missing.
