Who knew Dave was such an amazing storyteller?! A truly fantastic book. I’m so glad he read it himself. It’s pretty wild knowing he grew up just a couple of miles down the road. I would 100% read another book if he wrote it.

Mixed feelings

The book was a bit of a rollercoaster. Sometimes I forced myself to continue because I wanted to find out what happened, and at some points I genuinely got into the story. I wasn’t crazy about the ending…I felt let down a little bit…but maybe that was the author’s point? I still have a lot of questions.
I’ve never really paid attention to the voice of the person in an audiobook, but for whatever reason something was off with the recording for this book.
I felt like the voice didn’t match the main character. I’m not very sure what the main character was supposed to look like, but the voice of the person threw me off.
Overall, it was an intriguing story. I wish the voice reading was different. I’m not sure I’d recommend to someone else.

I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy this book because I was so confused in the beginning but it all made sense once you got into it. I’m glad I stuck with it because it was a great book. I had to google the first couple of pages to understand who the characters were.
