Interesting Paranormal Romance with a Sci-Fi twist

Where does Slave to Sensation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It was well paced, interesting characters, and good plot. Although it's not one my top ten . . . it's definitely on my top twenty.
Any additional comments?
The story is a refreshing twist to paranormal romantic fiction (to which I am an absoulte newby). From what I've noticed, the "popular" para-romances tend to sway toward vampires and werewolves (which is why I don't read and/or listen to a lot of them). . .Ms Singh's Psy-Changling series offers an interesting alternative. In "Slave to Sensation", you have two sets of people with differing perspectives . . . The Psy who were mandated to have the emotions suppressed (and almost stripped from them) until they are near cold unfeeling robots (although they are also ambitious and conniving--go figure). And then there's the Changlings who are all about feelings, connections, and raw emotions but have to overcome clan prejudices (e.g., Cats vs. Wolves). And in the middle of all this, you have Lucas (the panther Alpha with issues) and Sascha (the Psy with issues) who meet under very straining circumstances. Very interesting yarn . . . worth a listen.
