Loved listening to this book. Knowing the area well was a big plus but not essential.
Loved the character development. Since you knew the characters intimately it was thrilling to figure out this thriller!!

Historia
In pre-war Prague, the dreams of two young lovers are shattered when they are separated by the Nazi invasion. Then, decades later, thousands of miles away in New York, there's an inescapable glance of recognition between two strangers. Providence is giving Lenka and Josef one more chance. From the glamorous ease of life in Prague before the Occupation, to the horrors of Nazi Europe, The Lost Wife explores the power of first love, the resilience of the human spirit, and the strength of memory.

One of the most beautiful stories
Revisado: 10-11-12
What made the experience of listening to The Lost Wife the most enjoyable?
Everything about this book is beautiful. The story, the narration- did not want it to end.
Any additional comments?
The only thing I was disappointed about was that I wanted to know more and the book just ended. Maybe there will be sequel?

Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

It did keep my attention
Revisado: 09-24-12
Any additional comments?
I kept waiting for something to happen- and it did- about halfway through the book. The story is somewhat predictable-- but not enough for me not to recommend it. There are a lot of crazy people out there.
